Jisung sensed the change the second he entered the building.

Yes, the people were the same. All the rumors and secrets that circulated the dusty air, the chipped brick of the gym lobby was the same, and the cheesy letters to loved ones that the students were forced to write on card paper that hung from the ceiling, were the same.

But Jisung felt different.

The place no longer seemed like a town for him to pillage and rule over. He no longer felt attracted or pulled to the individuals he once did.

In fact, he felt repulsed by the thought.

He was like a mouse in a field of cats.

Anxiety bubbled inside of him as the cats surrounded him, asking for a piece of him, begging to have a taste— a moment of glory.

Jisung clutched onto Minho, sweaty palms digging into the yellow fabric of his T-shirt.

"Minho," he whispered, breath hitching as he continued to be clawed at.

Minho pulled Jisung closer, telling the creatures to fuck off, and guiding his lover to his locker, helping him with his copious amount of books.

Students continued to swarm around him. Jisung could feel his anxiety crawling up his limbs and tingling his insides, causing him to shake. He grew dizzy, frozen next to Minho, unable to move.

"Jisung, look at me," Minho insisted, gripping Jisung by the chin and forcing him to meet his gaze.

"Don't listen to them, okay? You don't need them, you have me. I'm here. I'll protect you. I'm not leaving, okay?" Minho pleaded, holding onto Jisung's shoulders firmly.

Confidence and pride suddenly surged through him, motivated by Minho. Jisung nodded, gaining the courage he needed to take on the ferocious beasts that now seemed rather small. The cats had become the mouse, or rather, the cheese.

"Jisung, can I borrow yo-"

"No," Jisung said, taking a deep breath.  He turned to the boy who stood, shocked. At this point, the entire hallway was in silence, staring at him as if he had blown up the poor boy.

Minho wrapped arms around Jisung, filling him with the boldness he needed.

"I'm done with that shit," he said, loud enough for the surrounding students to hear.

Gasps rang out, a low hum of chatter passing along the schoolmates.

"I have a fucking boyfriend now, guys!" Jisung yelled over the crowd. "I'm tired of wondering why pussy stinks so bad," he added to blow off some of the steam in the hallway, earning a few chuckles from the amused bunch.

"End of discussion," he finished, turning back around. He smiled at his boyfriend, a light blush spreading over his cheeks.

"Great job, baby," Minho praised him, caressing his face.

Jisung could hear the words of those who watched with curious unbelievable eyes. Yet, he didn't care. The only words he could register were those of Minho as he leaned in, placing his pointed lips on his own.

Jisung gladly kissed back, tilting his head up and curling his fingers in the fabric of Minho's shirt.

"Yeah, I told him that, but—woah. That was unexpected," Chan's voice cut through his perfect thoughts, causing him to shriek and hide himself in Minho's arms.

The rest of the group had their mouths open, far more than surprised.

"You too, Minho? You've fallen for his trap?" Hyunjin sighed, rolling his eyes in disbelief.
