Umkhehlo is where the guys family come to the girls' family with cloths and the slaughter of a cow in celebration of their marriage with the girls family at her home.
ukucimela is performed to wish the wife-to-be good luck and best of wishes in the near future. It clearly indicates that the girl is preparing to leave her family for her new family.
on the day the daughter goes to get married, her father will slaughter the cow, then he will suckle it and give it to her to feed herself for the last time
Undwedwe is the zulu white wedding called ukugcagca marrying a hardcore zulu man is a process which involves a lot of stages to be taken into consideration before the wife-to-be embarks on the journey of marriage. We are outside of Ndlalifa's home under the tree. I will enter after umgcagco. I am doing my makeup with my bridesmaids we are wearing, imvunulo. I'm isidwaba, which is heavy for my liking. "ngeke oe I won't marry a zulu man kunini ushada kanti awuqedi yini" Phelo is feed up with this whole process I even called Ndlalifa after umkhehlo saying I'm no longer marrying him because he doesn't want to we " yhoo I'm tired I can't wait for this day to be over and this thing is too heavy" it is now 11am Ndlalifa's family and guests get out of the yard singing and dancing I guess it is now time me,my family and guests follow them singing too we arrive at an open space
me and my people stand opposite Ndlalifa and his people me and my bridesmaids start singing "Bangizonda bonke ngiyofela ubala emzini , emzini ngiyasaba ,ngiyofela ubala emzini" I'm leading the song ngisine in the middle I can see Gugu , my mother in law and Ndlalifa's aunt giving me a side eye I dance until the song ends my mother in law starts another song with her sisters

when we are done me and Ndlalifa I walk hand in hand, heading back to his home. I am still singing the same song. We head to the tent the decor is nice. I didn't expect them to make it this nice it's no secret that they don't like me . The ceremony comes to an end. My family left after 9, leaving me behind. Gugu comes to me smiling. "I hope some girl comes and shakes your marriage like you did to mine akukho happy ending lana and I will make sure of it" just when I'm about to answer Ndlalifa hugs me behind " ngabe yonke into iright" Gugu answers first "yebo bhuti I was just welcoming her" she walks away fast I look at Ndlalifa smiling "asambe siyolala" He holds my hand leading me to his outside house.
