"Okay, my boy."

~•~

Hannibal and Will didn't talk much about Hobbs the next day. They sit quietly, enjoying their breakfast together. Hannibal decided it would be rude not to attend Chilton's party, so he figured today Will could get a makeover. He woke up bright and early, researching places that hybrids can get suits fitted. He came across some sort of hybrid spa/resort/shopping place that has everything Hannibal needs for Will.

He booked Will an appointment, planning on getting his haircut and suit fitted there. He read some reviews, unfortunately the place was created for owners to get their hybrids all spiffy before sending them off to an auction. Nowadays, it's just to treat hybrids to something nice, though it's not uncommon for customers to maintain the old tradition.

Hannibal looks at Will, the hybrids hair has really grown out now, it's uneven and his curls flick out by his neck. Overall, he looks scruffy and is in need of a haircut.

In terms of their discussion about Hobbs, Hannibal doesn't want to bring it up till later in the evening. He doesn't want Will to be in a bad mood while they're out and about. Hannibal has a strong feeling that Will is not going to be fond of getting his hair done and buying more clothes.

Hannibal takes a napkin and wipes his mouth with it before speaking.

"I have plans for us today," Hannibal says. Will looks up from his plate and tilts his head, causing his ears to flop to the side. He really doesn't want to go anywhere today.

"What?" Will speaks up.

"If we are attending Chilton's party, you need to look more... presentable," Hannibal says while looking Will up and down. The hybrid copies his actions, looking down at his body and back up at his owner. His eyebrows furrow together. What's wrong with the way he looks?

"I don't get it."

Hannibal lets out a sigh. He loves Will, he really does, and he's the last person to ever think Will isn't attractive- but.... He definitely needs some work. Hannibal prefers the clean look.

"It's a dinner party, Will. We'll have to get you a suit and a haircut, you simply cannot wear your regular attire," Hannibal tries explaining more, without sounding like he's insulting Will.

The hybrid pouts and doesn't response. He just picks unhappily at his food and rests his head against his palm.

"Do not sulk, this will be good for you. I will be right by your side, the whole time. I promise," Hannibal says while leaning over the table more, trying to grab back Will's attention.

The hybrids ears perk up at the promise and his cheeks flush red. He nods his head slowly, showing Hannibal he agrees to their plans. Hannibal smiles fondly and praises Will before finishing his meal.
