Mav woke up feeling the weight of her actions pressing down on her. She had hardly slept, her mind churning with guilt and regret over "that" thing.

This wasn't about the allergic reaction.

The previous day's events played over and over in her mind, each memory a reminder of the pain she had caused. She wanted to talk to Aya, to explain and apologize, but the fear of Aya not accepting her scares her.

Avoiding Aya was the only way Mav could cope.

She slipped out of the dorm early, hoping to escape any awkward encounters.

Her heart ached with every step she took away from the dorm, knowing she was running from the very person she wanted to talk with.

She knew avoiding Aya wouldn't solve anything, but the thought of facing her and explaining everything was too much to bear. She felt like she was drowning in her own guilt, each step feeling heavier than the last.

-

Aya woke up to the silence of the dorm, her heart heavy with confusion and worry. She had sensed the growing distance between her and Mav, a chasm that seemed to widen with each passing day.

It hurts her to see her roommate so distant, especially after they had started to build a meaningful connection.

"Nasaan na naman siya?" Aya muttered to herself as she looked around the empty dorm.

Mav's absence was like a gaping hole in the fabric of their daily life, a void that seemed to grow with each day. Aya couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.

Determined to find out what was going on, Aya decided to confront Mav after practice. She couldn't bear the silence any longer, the unspoken words hanging between them like a dark cloud.

-

Mav stormed into the sports complex, her frustration boiling over. She threw her sports bag down with a loud thud, catching the attention of her teammates. The noise echoed through the empty hall, a reflection of the turmoil inside her.

"Hi, Mavise Jian Lim! What's your problem today?" Cream called out, her voice dripping with mockery. "Didn't sleep well?"

Mav shot her a glare, her eyes burning with frustration. "Just leave me alone, Cream. I'm not in the mood."

Cream smirked, "Can't handle the pressure, huh? Akala ko ba maangas ka?"

Mav clenched her fists, her anger bubbling over. "Tigilan mo nga ako baka masapak kita," she said, her words were sharp.

-

Just as Mav was about to retort, Gab and her girlfriend, Shi, finally arrived. Gab's eyes scanned the room, instantly picking up on the tension. Shi, standing beside Gab, looked around with a concerned expression.

Gab approached Mav. "Mav, what's going on? You seem really upset."

Mav looked up at Gab, her eyes filled with a mix of frustration and guilt. "I just... Hindi ko na kaya, Gab. Pagod na'ko," she said, her voice trembling slightly.

Gab placed a comforting hand on Mav's shoulder. "It's okay, Mav. Take a deep breath and tell me what's wrong. We can figure this out together."

Cream, not one to miss an opportunity to stir the pot, chimed in with a smirk, "She's upset because she can't keep up her end of the deal. You know, the one where she's supposed to get close to Miraya Quinley Arceta."

Gab's face hardened. "Cream, you know I never liked that bet. Tsaka manahimik ka jan, 'di naman ikaw kausap ko."

Cream shrugged. "It's just a bet, Gab. No big deal."

Gab's eyes narrowed, a flash of anger crossing her face. "It is a big deal. We're talking about a person's feelings here. This isn't a game."
