IJICHI LOOKED DOWN AT his phone. he then glanced back at satoru, who wore smug grin on his face. "..is this another prank, gojo?" he asked as he looked back at location on the gps, inputted by satoru.

"nope! i'm being 100% honest! they're a friend of mine who single and definitely ready to mingle. trust me, you'll love them" he told him. ijichi tried to read his expression, finding it extremely difficult to do so since he had a blindfold on.

"you should probably head out now. don't wanna keep them waiting, right?" satoru told him.

"okay..but if this turns out to be another joke of yours..you'll be sorry!" ijichi threatened. however, the white-haired male only chuckled. "whatever you say!" he teased as he walked off.

"was it really necessary to drive all the way to kyoto?" ijichi asked himself. throughout the entire drive, he was skeptical of this blind date solely because it was satoru who set it up.

what would be waiting for him once he got to the location? some powerful curse? satoru himself waiting to laugh at him? ot maybe this friend of his would actually be there.

regardless, he refused to let his guard down until he knew that satoru was telling the truth. he was determined not to fall for another one of his tricks!

'you have arrived at your destination.'

ijichi hummed as he looked out the window. "it's a..pastry shop?" he asked, letting out a sigh. of course it is. satoru has quite the sweet tooth, after all.

he get out of the car and looked around for anything suspicious. "mmh.." the coast was clear for now.

"suppose i should..head inside.." ijichi cautiously approached the entrance. maybe something was rigged to drop on him once he opened it? no, it would end up badly if i turned out to be anyone else opened the door..

he finally opened the door, with nothing happening. he sighed in relief as he entered the shop. "hey, you!" ijichi tensed up in fear upon hearing the sudden shout. he knew it! he knew satoru was up to something-!

ijichi looked in the direction of the voice, landing on you. he felt himself calm down as a blush tinted his cheeks. "you're kiyotaka ijichi, right?" you asked, a warm smile on your face.

you were..breathtaking? stunning? he didn't know how to describe you, but you were it! "y-yes, that's me!" ijichi stammered as he nervously approached the table and took a seat across from you.

"sweet! i'm y/n l/n. nice to meet you, ijichi" you greeted. "satoru told me so much about you!" ijichi perked up."he..did?" the male was genuinely surprised. had satoru really said nice things about him.

"yeah! he said that you're pretty nerdy looking and really gullible and not really all that great to talk to, but you're fun to tease!" you spoke. it felt like an anvil was dropped onto ijichi's self-esteem and confidence, crushing it completely.

"however, i think that he was just being an asshole. you seem like a pretty chill guy!" you added, making ijichi blush again. "thank you, i think you're 'chill' as well, l/n. would you mind..telling me about yourself?" he said bashfully.

"well, i'm a teacher at jujutsu tech here in kyoto. i'm a grade 2 sorcerer and damn proud of it!" you replied happily. "that's quite the achievement. i'm sure you'll reach grade 1 in no time" ijichi assured. "what about you?" you asked.

"well, i'm an assistant director at tokyo's jujutsu school. i'm a grade.." ijichi's voice trailed off. right, he wasn't a full fledged sorcerer like you or satoru. "to be honest, i lack a technique and i'm not exactly a sorcerer. i'm more like..a glorified driver for the sorcerers. i also put down veils.." he explained, quite embarrassed.

"that's okay! you're still pretty important, no? without you, the sorcerers wouldn't be able to get to the curses' locations! plus, without a veil, that'd cause some issues for the humans that can see the curses!" you said.

it felt like cupid shot ijichi with an arrow. you were so considerate! so understanding! just so kind! "i'm not gonna reject you just because you aren't a special grade like satoru. that'd be a dick move!"

"yeah, that would be true..it's nice not to be berated for not being an actual sorcerer.." "WHO BERATES YOU??" you stood up, towering over ijichi. he looked up at you with fear in his eyes. "uhm..gojo?" he replied. he didn't meant to rat him out like that, but what was he supposed to do?

"that bastard..don't worry, i'll have a word with him!" you told him.

after that, the two of you continued talking about your interests and found that you both got along pretty well. you ended up staying so long that you were both kicked out of the shop since it was closing.

you stood by ijichi's car. he blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "i would like to see you again, if that's alright.." he spoke. you smiled at him. "yeah! gimme your phone real quick" you replied.

ijichi handed his phone over to you. you quickly began to type on it. once finished, you gave it back. "i'll see you around, ijichi!" you said as you walked off.

"hm?" he looked down at his phone. you had put your number into his phone! his face turned red as he got into his car. he would definitely have to apologize to satoru for thinking that it was a trick..
