I continued running towards the camp for what felt like a minute but must've been half an hour judging by the distance. when I got inside the camp borders I headed straight to the Hermes cabin. I frantically entered the doorway staff still in hand glowing with intense golden light, emanating power like I had never felt before I felt energized like I could run from Venus to Mars without breaking a sweat. I walked past the Hermes kids to my room which had automatically appeared when I first arrived at camp, clothes were neatly stacked on the dresser.

An assortment of the slightly different black camp halfblood t-shirts one longer than the other, one with sleeves missing and one as a crop top all rested inside the top drawers, I opened the second dresser down which had my blood stained shirt which was mostly golden now due to it being soaked in my blood, seemingly magically however the holes in it were gone. the sweatpants next to them were also soaked in my golden blood but the holes were still there the blood smelt strange like Pepsi? Maybe coke the point is dear reader I did not have any problem with the smell it was delicious almost licked the shirt to see if it tasted like Pepsi but then I realized it was my blood so that would be gross. "This is a little too easy.."

And right on cue a Hermes kid came running into my room trying to grab the staff from me, a task in which he was unsuccessful I instinctively booped him on the head with the blunt end of the staff and he started to morph into a singular knotted meat rope with rough scales, sharp eyes and a sly grin like it was going to convince me to eat something i shouldn't, in other words it was a very large snake "Sorry I hope it'll only be temporary" I meant to say but it just came out as hissing at the snake. Another Hermes kid came running into my room which I almost slapped across the face with the staff before realizing that it was the pretty light skinned woman that I had swooned over for years. I immediately let my guard down completely. "i-i'm sorry for turning your half brother into a snake" I said nervously, weirdly she just smiled at me with a deep red maybe embarrassed blush? A secret dear reader I really don't know too this day she's confusing like that.

"I barely knew him anyway" she pivoted back and forth from foot to foot like she was nervous or something but she did that a lot anyway so she probably wasn't. I bonked the Hermes kid on the head again and he morphed back to being a human then he just started screaming and ran out of the room leaving just me and Nora there.

"Nora you have no idea the trouble I've just gotten myself into.. you need to leave.." I said in a stern but caring tone. "Hermes told every one of his kids if they caught you they'd get your prize.. but I figured since you'll probably use that gift on me anyways I'll just help you win" she said with a mischievous grin that I had seen so many times when she was planning something, funnily enough I had seen that same grin on Luke and Hermes a few times today guess it's hereditary

"What do you get out of this.." I asked suspiciously

"Well I know you're just gonna give me whatever the quest reward is anyway" she said with a sharp almost stabby smile as if she was trying to puncture my mental biocomputer that calls itself a brain.

i reached my hand out to her to shake her hand and she responded doing the same with a rigid grip on my hand "its a deal then" we in unison "JINX" we both said in unison another time "stop copying me" we said again "Seriously stop" i said swiftly finally breaking the jinx "you know i hate it when you do that Nora" I said with what she describes to be a round aggressive smile which looked to not be in actuality bothered at all, a smile which quickly faded and turned into a twisted frown plagued with an oh so familiar burden. "i need to tell you something Nora-" a bunch of Hermes kids started pouring into my room just then

"whatever it is i think it can wait" she said while pushing me out the window, following me out the window the second I landed my feet rooted themselves into the ground. the sky started to turn a dark orange the trees glowed as if they were ablaze yet i could see no flames a giant pumpkin chariot would grow from the ground with horses made of a very pale orangish material with the manes of the horses being made of a green leaf "get in" a man with the head that was just a jack-o'-lantern said to Nora and I so we climbed in without a second thought, when I reached into the pumpkin my hands rooted themselves into the giant pumpkin the chariot took off while I pulled vines out of the pumpkin, vines that puppeteered the Horseman like a marionette.
