Chapter 1: The Vendetta

   Thirty years ago Oroku Saki was a ten years old boy who lived with his family in Japan. He loved his elder brother the most in his family and he got along well with him. His elder brother's name was Oroku Nagi. He was twenty-five years old. He is tall, handsome and a good man. He was also in love with a woman called Tang Shen. On the other hand Tang Shen is in love with Hamato Yoshi. Hamato Yoshi was a quite good hearted man who loves art and reading books. Yoshi was also a ninja master and leader of Foot Clan. Foot Clan is an honorable clan in Japan. Yoshi and Shen wanted to get married however Nagi was trying to make Shen love him. Shen and Yoshi's houses were close to each other. The houses were duplex and had a garden. There was a forest near their houses. Hamato Yoshi was living alone. Tang Shen and Oroku Nagi were living with their parents.      
   That night, Nagi couldn't sleep thinking about Shen. He made his way to Shen's house. When Nagi arrived in front of the house, he decided wake her up and he threw a small stone to her window. Shen did not wake up then he threw another small stone. On the second try, the noise of the stone thrown at the window woke Tang Shen. The young woman looked out the window.Tang Shen was not very happy when she saw Oroku Nagi. "What do you want?"she asked. Nagi begged her. He said that he wanted to talk to her one last time and if she accepted his request, he would not disturb her again. Nagi hoped to convince Tang Shen to be with him. Tang Shen agreed to talk and left the house. She met with Nagi. He told her how much he loved her.Tang Shen listened reluctantly. She refused to be with him. Nagi couldn't control his feelings because he obsessed with her. He suddenly hugged Shen and pressed his lips to hers. Shen pushed Nagi and slapped him. What are you doing? "I love Yoshi," She cried. Hamato Yoshi woke up to Shens' screams. He looked out the window and saw Nagi and Shen together. He took his katana with him and left the house angrily. Then he went next to them. "What's going on here?" Yoshi asked Nagi angrily. "That is none of your business!!" Repilied Nagi. Then Shen explained what happened. "How dare you touch my woman!!" Hamoto Yoshi cried. Suddenly Nagi unsheathed his katana and said" I would kill you and Tang Shen would be mine..!!"
Hamato Yoshi unsheathed his katana too and they began to fight. Nagi swung his katana towards Yoshi. Nagi was about to stab Yoshi with his katana. Tang Shen suddenly stepped in front of Yoshi to save him. Nagi accidentally cut open Shen's torso with his katana. Young woman fell to the ground. Blood was flowing from her body and her intestines were coming out of her body. Nagi took life of the woman he loved while trying to kill his opponent. He was staring at Tang Shens dead body in shock. Both Nagi and Yoshi were horrified by this scene. Everything happened too fast. Hamato Yoshi swung his katana towards Nagi's head and he beheaded Nagi. Nagi fell to the ground. Blood was leaking from his dead body. Neighbours woke up to the noises. They saw Yoshi was holding a bloody katana and two dead bodies were lying on the ground.
   When Yoshi noticed the poeple, he ran away to the the forest. Hamato Yoshi disappears into the depths of the forest. A group of people, including Nagi's and Shen's fathers, went after him to capture him, but they couldn't do it. Everyone in the town tought that Yoshi killed both Nagi and Shen, since they didin't see complately what happened. Yoshi had lived in the forest for three days. He hunted and ate rabbits in the forest. He thought about what to do during this time. Yoshi had a childhood friend who lived in other village. His friend was working as a captain on a cargo ship. Yoshi went to his friend's house at night. His friend opened the door. Captain was very happy to see his old friend but Yoshi looked miserable. Captain invited him in. They sat down and started talking. Yoshi told his friend what happened. His friend offered to help him. "How would you help me?" Yoshi asked. Captain offered Yoshi to board the cargo ship with him. Cargo ship was going to USA. Yoshi accepted this suggestion and he went to USA illegally. If he stayed in Japan he would go to prison. His leadership of the Foot Clan also ended because killing someone from the same clan was ground for expulsion from the clan. His elder brothers death devastated little Saki. All Oroku family participated to Nagi's funeral. Oroku Saki hugged his elder brother's coffin and he vowed to avenge his sibling's death...
