Robostus
“Romance?”
My eyes narrowed looking over at the blunette.
We're planning what movies to watch when I come over tonight.
I swear these are nothing but friendly meetings. Movie watching with FRIENDS.
And I don't think I terribly delusional to believe that he might have a tiny crush on me.
“Oh come on… not a comedy?”
“Romance comedy?” he suggests fiddling with his fingers.
“Uh-”
I didn't have to answer him thanks to his brain snapping to something else, “Oh no! I left my bag in the locker room! Again.”
“Check to see if you left your brain in there too.” Alya jokes as we all watch him run back to the locker room.
He trips along the way, preforming a partial somersault and landing right back on his feet, “I'm okay!”
Shaking my head, I continued my way up to Ms. Mendeleiev’s class, taking my seat besides Ivan.
Marin and Max made their way into the room just as the bell rings.
Although she wasn't paying attention thanks to asking the principal questions on her laptop, “See for yourself, Denis Damocles. Nothing happens when I press the button.”
“You're in luck, Mrs. Mendeleiev. I'm a bit of a computer whiz!” He cracks his knuckles, “Okay.” Then types a bit on the keyboard, “And there you go!”
The laptop reboots and showing the desktop on the projector screen. But as soon as some students gasp in awe the screen crashes, showing a computer virus has taking over the system.
“Wow, thanks for the help.”
“That's not supposed to be happening! What is it?”
Max stands up walking to the front, “It's Dino-33, a malicious computer virus! Let me try something!”
“Go back to your seat now, Max! Leave this to the adults!”
“Mm-hmm.”
The teen grunts in annoyance and heads back to his seat, stopping once a voice came from his bag.
“Inform the adults that if they don't neutralize the virus in the next seventy-five seconds, there's a 99.9% chance the hard disk will be permanently damaged!”
...
Bro the robot companion!
What was his name?
“Quiet!”
Alya leans over to Marin, “Tell me you heard Max's bag talk to him.”
I know I did.
Mr. Damocles frowns, “It's destroying all the school data! It's a disaster!” He looks to Max, “How many seconds do you say we have left?”
“Only sixty-five.”
“Let him try.” Bitch Mendeleiev nods. Mr. Damocles turns the laptop to Max, “Go ahead.”
He reaches into his bag for something to help fix the school's system, “Unnh! Where is it?”
A mechanical arm from his bag holds up a flash drive to him, “I believe this is what you're looking for?”
