When Haerin walked into Minji's room, she looked at the unknown man present in the room along with Joonie and Aunt Mia. She thought it might be one of Minji's relatives that she didn't know but then again she thought it might be a friend of Joon. She then thought, whatever and gave Ye Joon the things she bought for them.
"Noona, I told you not to buy anything. Why didn't you bring Dani noona with you?"
"I have somewhere to go later so it would be a hassle to drive her back and forth." Haerin answered.
"You could have just left her here with us. Me or Joonie could drive her back whenever she wanted to go home." Aunt Mia said.
"My mom's planning to visit her at home along with Dani after she's discharged from here. How long will she stay here?" Haerin asked pointing to Minji.
"We haven't talked about that. Michael do you think how longer will she be staying here?"
"From the morning report, she could be discharged tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Patients feel they're not getting better as long as they keep staying in the hospital. It's better to take care of her at home with a nurse or a family doctor." The unknown man whose name is Michael answered.
"You could just come and take care of her then." Ye Joon playfully said.
"I would if I don't have to go to the hospital but now that I've newly posted, I can't say anything." He answered with a shy yet satisfied smile on his face.
"You could just take leave until she gets better." Joonie said.
"Give some cake to your noona." Michael said and divert the topic.
"Michael brought the cake, he baked it himself. It tastes so much, have some noona." Joon offered some cake to Haerin.
"I came just after lunch, Joonie. I'm full, no more space for cake."
"No way. You even offered dessert after lunch at your restaurant, don't you? Here just have a bite." He came closer to Haerin and whispered,
"That's Michael, Minji's fiance."
"Huh!?" Haerin said aloud. Minji had never talked about him and she didn't know that he would be here so the surprise.
"He's handsome, right?" Joonie whispered, smiling. Haerin already thought that he was handsome. Right now she wanted to wake Minji up and tease her. She knew about Minji's unwillingness to give in to her family's arrangement and didn't want to make acquaintance with him or anything, but out of respect, she introduced herself to him.
"I didn't know earlier and skipped my greetings. I hope you won't mind it. Michael right?" Haerin started.
"Right."
"I'm Haerin, Minji's childhood friend."
"I know." He smiled and shook Haerin's hand.
"The cake tastes good." Haerin complimented and after that felt awkward, not knowing what to talk about. Just then, a nurse came in and gave aunt Mia a paper bag.
"Dr Jungwon left this for the patient to eat." She told her.
"Did he go back home already?" Aunt Mia asked.
"Yes, a friend of his came earlier and they left together."
"When did he went back?" Haerin hastily asked the nurse.
"A while ago." The nurse answered and left.
"Oh no. I'm going to die soon." Haerin muttered.
"What's wrong Haerin?" Aunt Mia asked.
