A/N : sorry if this is messy and incoherent, I wrote this on whim and did not proof read it.

If parties were like fire, Pip was ice.

She couldn't stand them, but for Cara, she'd do anything, which is why she is currently trying to have a good time,

which she isn't.

The house was all sweaty and reeked of weed, sex, and booze. It made Pip's head hurt.

"You okay, Pip?" Naomi asked, sitting down on the couch, next to her.

She'd hadn't seen Naomi since they had talked earlier before everyone arrived to set up. Her eyes were heavily covered in eyeshadow but even so, Pip could see that her eyes were red and puffy, as if she had been crying but Pip didn't want to pry.

"I'm surviving. What about you?"

"Same. Want to come with me and get a drink?" she said, smiling slightly.

"You don't even need to ask me twice."

So they went into the kitchen and got they're liquid courage. From the kitchen, they watched Cara dancing on the dining table with a group of people cheering her on.

"At least Cara's having a good time." Cara sighed as Pip sipped from her cup, swiftly downing the burning tonic down her throat.

"And that's all that matters, right?" Pip holds out her pinky and Naomi interlocks hers with Pip's.

"Exactly"

Then Conner walked up to them.

"Would you girls care for a coup de tequila?" he slurs while trying to keep his balance.

Naomi looks at Pip, giving into it.

'One shot couldn't hurt'

So they both take a glass and cheer.

"To Cara" Naomi adds.

"To Cara"

Then they tangle their arms together and swing down the drink. Pip's throat and cheeks feel so hot, it almost feels like they're burnt. Or like they'd been wrapped with duct tap-Actually, No, It felt like a drug, just loosening up all her thoughts, nerves, and muscles.

She's so free for a second, that she feels the urge to keep the feeling going.

"Hey Con!" She yells.

Connor playfully turns around with a new tray of shots.

"Keep them coming!"

Ravi spends most of his time outside on the porch with Jamie, talking about everything that happened this afternoon with Naomi.

Though, he didn't tell him about the Sal stuff, that would make him seem like he was crazy.

"I feel so bad." Ravi says, drowning his face into his hands.

"Don't be, Rav. It was no one's fault. It was just pain that needed to be let free. From the both of you."

"Yeah, maybe you're right" He looks up at Jamie from his hiding hands.

"Of course I'm right, now let's go inside so you can find Pip and talk to her in the way that you want to. No plan, just say whatever feels right to you." Jamie puts a hand on Ravi's shoulder, and he gestures for both of them to stand up.

"Thank you, Sir Reynolds." Ravi bows dramatically.

"You are welcome, Mr. Singh, now go get your girl!"

They go inside and Ravi wanders off to go look for Pip. But he's cut to the chase as a small pair of hands go over his eyes. He hears small giggles coming from the now, leaning person behind him.

"Guess whoooo!"

Ravi crunches his eyebrows, pretending to be completely oblivious on who might be obscuring his vision.

"Ummm...let me think, is it Benedict Cumberbatch?"

"Whaaa? Nooo, you dummy!"

"Ah No! I was really hoping to meet such a devilish handsome man!"

Ravi turns around and takes the hands off his eyes and he is met with someone that makes him much happier than Benedict Cumberbatch could ever.

Pip.

"Hey! You didn't let me finish the game." She says, sighing with disappointment.

"Sorry, but you weren't very sneaky there, Sarge, and even though my guess wasn't right, I was still greeted by the prettiest girl around."

This made Pip's cheeks go bright red, like a strawberry, and though she tried to hide her smile, she couldn't contain her giddiness.

"You're funny." She slurs while poking his chest.

Ravi could tell she was a little too tipsy to be confronted with the truth right now, so he decided that he would wait for another time. When things were less crowded and a little more calm.

"Hey, why don't we get you some water, huh?"

"But water's so bland and boring." She whines holding onto his arms, to keep herself from falling.

"Okay, what if we put extra ice into the water and give the glass a little umbrella? Would that make it more exciting for you?"

"Yay! Tiny umbrellas!"

"Then that settles it, come on, let's go."

They start heading towards the kitchen when they get interrupted by Cara.

"You two! You're coming with me to play spin the bottle!"

"I don't know, Cara, are you sure?" Ravi started to get nervous. This was going to end badly.

Even Pip, who was ninety nine percent, for sure, drunk, knew that this was a bad idea.

"Yeah, Cara. Can we maybe skip?" She said pouting, trying to put her best attempt at a sad puppy face.

"Definitely not!"

And then she dragged the two of them into a closed study room with a circle of people.

This is why parties were not Pip's thing.
