Regulus p.o.v:

Me and James had been dating for about two months and were pretty happy keeping it between just a few people. The only ones who knew were Sirius, Remus, and Lily. The only reason we didn't want to come out was that I was scared of my parents finding out I was dating a guy.

But there was something else I hadn't told James yet, something even more personal. I had been working up the courage to tell him, but every time I tried, the words got stuck in my throat. It wasn't just about being in a relationship with him. It was about who I was, deep down.

One evening, as we were sitting in James's room at Gryffindor Tower, I decided it was time. He deserved to know all of me, and I wanted him to understand this part of my life.

"James," I started, my voice trembling slightly, "there's something I need to tell you."

He looked up from his homework, his hazel eyes full of curiosity and concern. "What is it, love?"

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "There's another part of me that I haven't shared with you yet. It's really important to me, and I want you to know about it."

He reached out and took my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Whatever it is, Reg, you can tell me. I'm here for you."

"I'm an age regressor," I finally said, the words coming out in a rush. "Sometimes, I feel safer and more comfortable regressing to a younger state. It helps me cope with stress and everything going on."

James was silent for a moment, processing what I had said. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, worried about how he would react.

"Regulus," he said softly, "thank you for telling me. That must have been really hard for you to share."

I nodded, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. "It was, but I trust you. I just didn't want you to think differently of me."

James pulled me into a gentle hug. "I could never think differently of you for that. Everyone has their own ways of dealing with things. If this helps you, then I support you completely. Just let me know how I can be there for you when you need it."

I felt tears of relief prickling at the corners of my eyes. "Thank you, James. That means so much to me."

He smiled and kissed my forehead. "You're my star boy, Reg. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

We sat there for a while, wrapped in each other's arms. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly accepted for who I was, every part of me.
