— Winter of 2001 —
We were both drunk that night. We were arguing because I was out with some other guy. After that, he grabbed a knife from the kitchen. He then pushed me down on the hardwood floor and called me a slut stabbing me repeatedly. After that, I almost blacked out because of how weak I started to feel. At that point, he started a fire in the house. When I noticed the fire being spread, I forced myself to get up. It was snowing heavily at the time, so it was hard for me to get through all the snow. After a little while I found a house the woman said she noticed the fire from afar but assumed it was just a forest fire. After I told her about the situation and how he was with another woman before that claimed he was abusive she called 911, and I was sent to the hospital. After that, Cecelia and my now ex-boyfriend went to court, and he was sentenced guilty and was sent to jail.
