I stood in front of Tanishk with Tara and Vikas by my side. Tanishk's raised eyebrows demanded attention, and I pretended to be cool, though his piercing gaze was fixed solely on me. It was as if he already knew I was the one who had beaten Reyansh black and blue.

My eyes widened in feigned surprise when everyone pointed at me, accusing me of orchestrating everything. Of course, it was me. Anyone who dared to touch what was mine would face severe consequences.

"Me? I don't even hurt a mosquito even if they often bite me," I tried innocently, gasping, keeping my palm against my chest, giving them mocking surprises. Vikas and Tara again pointed at me, their faces a mix of annoyance and amusement.

"No, It was all her plan," Tara said, shaking her head. Vikas nodded in agreement.

"She orchestrated the whole thing. From locking Reyansh in a room, and.....I just help them," Vikas shrugged, this man! I gasped, trying to maintain an innocent facade.

"Me? How could you say such a thing?" I said, batting my eyelashes. Tanishk's lips twitched in what looked like a suppressed smile.

"Really, Jiya?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Is that your final defense?" I straightened up, my possessiveness flaring. I tried to come up with excuses but his expression said- lie and face the consequences causing me huff.

"Yes, it was me! Reyansh deserved it. No one locks you up and gets away with it, Tanishk and I'll protect you no matter what. I just couldn't hold my anger!" Tanishk's eyes softened slightly.

"Jiya, you can't just go around beating people up," he said, though there was a hint of amusement in his tone.

"Even if your intentions are... well, possessive." I looked up as he came closer. I could see Vikas and Tara trying to hide their smiles.

"She's like a fierce lioness protecting her territory," Vikas spoke as if was remembering when I was making plans, all furious.

"More like an overprotective girlfriend with a touch of madness," Tara added with a grin. I crossed my arms, glaring at them.

"You think this is funny? Tanishk could have been hurt!" I blurted seriously until I felt Tanishk step closer, his eyes locking onto mine.

"Jiya, I appreciate your concern, but next time, maybe talk to me before going all warrior princess on someone," I huffed, but his gentle smile made my heart flutter.

"I just can't stand the thought of anyone hurting you," I muttered, looking down. He lifted my chin, making me meet his gaze.

"And I appreciate that more than you know. But let's keep the beatings to a minimum, alright?" A reluctant smile tugged at my lips.
