Such an unfavorable situation the idiots got themselves in. As always, Kumagawa had to improvise something.

Of course, this was a matter concerning Holfort itself. So the Palace was an obvious place to start.

Roland:It seems you don't know what truly means to rescue those six people. Even if you were to give everything that you own...To do that, you'd have to transfer them to your hometowm first. And the lost items are still nowhere to be found, aren't they? In the first place, isn't this whole situation your fault as well?

Roland sat on his thrown, his head resting on his palm as he said that with a smirk. It's moments like these that he lets the fact that he's the king get to his head.

However, now Roland noticed something that confused him. Kumagawa...Wasn't even looking at him.

Bernand:Saving their lives is the easy part. But we need to realize that we can't let those six out of our sight.

Vince:Isolating them on a flying island of our choosing and observing them would be the most logical thing to do. But we do not have time to accomodate an island. That's why we should use the floating island.

The three talked among themselves, acting like Roland wasn't even there. Are they...Are they ignoring him?

Kumagawa:[Guess there's no choice. Sure, I don't particulary care for that island, but...The thought of them being lovey dovey on an island I worked on makes me want to vomit. Eh, what can you do. Sometimes you have to cut your losses.]

Vince:So you're fine with going si far to save His Highness...Can I ask you what pushes you towards it?

Kumagawa:[Well, amomg those five I have a trained monkey.]

Vince:Hm?

Kumagawa:[But as for why I give up those things so easily...It's because I don't care about the losing of my rank. Sure, it's more luxurious, but it gets as dull as something less luxurious. The achievments that git me there were just a byproduct of my own whims. I'm still a teenager qt tge end of the day. I just want to do the things I enjoy. I don't really have any great aspirations or something like that. Why I extended my help to the rest...Well, I guess after working together we developed a wholesome toxic relationship.]

Bernand:Toxic relationship you say, huh? It seemd His Highness made a true friend.

Kumagawa:[I wouldn't go that far. You see, it's like when you find a stray dog. You're not willing to bring it into your house, but you still want to try to train it. Even though it messes up every time in a stupid way and kind of makes you want to kick it. But it's the funny kind of stupidity, so you let it slide.]

Bernand:I see...Your Majesty, would the rehabilitation of those six be acceptable to you?

Roland:Ha? Eh...I'll leave it to you then.

Vince:Then let's start eith it. We depended quite a lot on you recently.

Kumagawa:[Don't worry, I'm used to it.]

Vince:You're a diligent young man indeed. We certainly need to give our thanks to you propely.

Having finished the preparations with Bernard and Vince, Kumagawa returned home. Sitting on the bed in his room, Luxion floated around him.

Luxion:We could still get back what we lost.

Kumagawa:[You're way too overachieving, Luxion-chan. Sure, we decorated that island, but the only thing actually worth a damn were the plants we use for tea.]

Luxion:As you asked, those were already packed. You thought this is where your discussion might end up, Master.

Kumagawa:[Yep. And our tea bussiness can continue with no problems now. That island isn't that special, we can find another place to harvest the plants.]

Luxion:I see...This is sort of Master's retirment, then?

Kumagawa:[Yep! Now I can enjoy myself and mess around all day.]

Luxion:But weren't you already doing that?

Kumagawa:[But now it won't be perceived as problematic behavior.]

Luxion:You seem happy. Genuinly so.

Kumagawa:[Do I? Well, I'm not very good at those sort of things...But I guess I am. Let's go on a ride later. Some bonding time just for the two of us.]

Luxion:That would be very enjoyable, Master.

Kumagawa laughed, falling back. His hands supported the back of his head as he stared at the celling, lying on his bed.

Kumagawa:[I can't wait to see this prank come to fruition. I wonder how the Academy will be next year?]

Luxion:One thing is for sure. It won't operate the same. Cam say that the Master's youth is just beggining.

Kumagawa:[Haha, I suppose you're right.]

A knock was heard from the door before it was forced open. Olivia barged in, sweat rolling off her face.

Kumagawa:[Olivia-chan? Barging in like that at such an hour. Don't tell me...Is this a conjugal visit!?]

Olivia:Wha...I...Um...Tha...No! That's not important right now!

Kumagawa:[No, no, it's certainly important! I'll get the collar ready!]

Olivia:You still remember that...No! As I said, that's not why I came here! Misogi...It's true you're stepping down as the Viscount!?

Kumagawa:[Damn. This countr has an horrible internal structure, but at least we never lack gossip.]

Olivia:Even though you tried so hard...Even Angie...She went on one knee for Marie for you...Even so...

Kumagawa:[Huh?]

Shadows covered half of Kumagawa's face, his eyes hidden as his grin preserved. The floor cracked and broke under his feet.

In the next moment he was in front of Olivia. One hand on her shoulder as she stared at his blue eyes that somehow looked like they were glowing omniously and swirling like the deepest, most darkest part of the ocean.

Kumagawa:[Olivia-chan...What did you just say? Please repeat it slowly.]

Now, Olivia can be oblivious quite a lot of times. But even she realized she said something she shouldn't have.

At the masion of the Redgrage family Angelica was face to face with her father. She knew sge did the family a great dishonor.

Angelica:...Will you have me killed?

Vince:Don't be daft. Like I'd order the death of my own daughter. However...You are not fit to lead this ducal family. I'll prepare someone more suited to your level. Proceed with the marriage preparations.

Angelica:Yes.

Vince:...You don't care who it is?

Angelica:Not re...Who might it be?

Vince:There's a young Knight that doesn't care of his rank or achievments. Who only wants to enjoy himself and take care of his tea bussiness. He's quite the perfect fit for you, don't you think?

Angelica brightened at those words. There was only one she knew that fit the description.

Angelica:Father...

Vince:Our Redgrave Duchey will take care of him. I've also asked about your friend...I'm sorry to say she'll be considered a concubine.

Angelica:T...Thank you very much!

Loud noises were heard through the mansion. The father and daughter rushed to see what was the commotion, only to be surprised by the sight.

On one side was Kumagawa with an oversized screw in each hand being held back by both guard and robots alike, although the mechanical arms started to break and the humans couldn't hold him once that happened. On the other side was Marie hiding behind the prince and his entourage.

Kumagawa:[Ah, Ange-chan...Perfect timing! I was just about to make a Marie Mosaic for you!]
