Background: Believed to be created in the image of a fertility goddess from the old world,The Hachishaku-samas roam near villages of the serene islands, searching for a husband, typically a young man that had recently come of age. When they encounter their husband,they will use their maternal body and nature to seduce the man,making him feel comforted and loved. If the man is already married,or dissuaded away from the Hachishaku-sama,she will stalk him for years on end,waiting for the perfect opportunity to claim him as her own.
Culture: Hachishaku-samas have no community, and live in solidarity. They are immortal and sterile,but will happily try to conceive with their husbands endlessly. When their husband dies,the widowed Hachishaku-sama will go and hunt for a new husband to take his place. To placate their desires for a man,some communities in the serene islands will submit virgin men who can't find a wife to the Hachishaku-sama,both for the men to lose their virginities, and for the Hachishaku-sama to be sexually satisfied for a time,so she won't stalk any of their men.
