•Jin Hee was running around with the other kids, waiting for Hyun Soo to come back with more people turned back into humans. She hoped that one of these days, Hyun Soo would surprise them and bring back In Seong. It had been a little over a month since Jin Hee last saw In Seong. He got up in the middle of the night and left without saying a word. Jin Hee wanted to go looking for him, but Sergeant Kim told her that In Seong made his decision and that he'd come back when he felt ready.
In Seong was in the process of becoming a special infectee, he needed time to process and allow himself to see that inside of him.
Jin Hee looked down at the scar before catching up with her new friends. It was nice to have kids around her age to play with again. The people of the stadium and the people that Hyun Soo turned back were some of the nicest people. They didn't even care about the little monster that was chasing the kids, making them laugh and giggle outside in the grass.
"They're back!" One of the kids shouted.
Jin Hee grinned. "Hyun Soo!" She giggled as she ran off with the little monster on her heels. She could hear the shouts from the other survivors about seeing more people arriving to their location. It was nice to see more survivors, considering most of them were previously monsters.
Jin Hee ran to Hyun Soo, looking towards the survivors who arrived. She saw no In Seong, again, but she decided not to let that bother her. Ha Ni and Ye Seul ran to Chan Young, Ye Seul got to him first, hugging him. Jin Hee wrapped her arms around Hyun Soo, grinning up at him. The little monster jumped, getting on Hyun Soo's shoulders. "Miss me?" Hyun Soo joked.
Jin Hee nodded.
Yeong Hu and the other soldiers approached. "Good job."
"Thank you."
"These are the last of the survivors. We brought everyone, sir." Chan Young said. Just then, some of the survivors ran out to greet their friends and families. Jin Hee looked away, wishing they could find In Seong and Eun Yoo.
Jin Hee stood with the adults as the supplies were brought into the building. Hyun Soo had a hand on her shoulder. "Is there anywhere else we can go?"
"Well," Chan Young began. "Not anywhere nearby. I suggest we expand our radius, sir."
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Ha Ni asked. "Lee Eun Yoo and Yoo In Seong." Jin Hee looked up at Hyun Soo. "They're taking so long." Ha Ni complained.
Hyun Soo remembered something. "I'm thinking of going to that place." He spoke.
"Where?" Ha Ni asked.
"She might be there already."
"And In Seong?" Jin Hee questioned.
Hyun Soo nodded. "And In Seong." In Seong did say he'd find Eun Yoo. Hyun Soo knew that In Seong would find his best friend without a doubt, and where she was, he'd be there too.
