Raghuvanshi Mahal, Jaisalmer (Rajasthan)

7:00 pm..

The entire Raghuvanshi Mahal was adorned with an exquisite array of decorations, reminiscent of a newly wedded bride. Every corner of the mahal was beautifully embellished with a touch of elegance to the atmosphere, drawing the eye to its splendour.

The antique furnishings were not merely decorative; they served as a testament to the royal lineage and illustrious history of the Raghuvanshi family. Huge family portraits, effortlessly fabulous pieces of paintings, meticulously chosen, spoke volumes about the grandeur of a bygone era, highlighting the craftsmanship and artistry that have stood the test of time, emphasized the aura of royalty that permeated the mahal , evoking a sense of pride and deep respect for the ancestral heritage.

In stark contrast to the beauty and jubilance that shimmered throughout the grand mahal, a strikingly beautiful face bore the weight of desolation and vengeance as it gazed intently at its reflection in the ornate mirror of bathroom. Who was none other than Nia.

When she woke up and found herself in a different room, it didn't take her a second to understand the whole thing.

Flashback:

(The lady in the mansion had served herbreakfast laced with sleeping pills at Veeransh's order In her stupor, he took her to Jaisalmer on his private jet.)

The cool droplets of water splashed against her skin from the running tap, concealed her tears but embarked a deep seated rage within that seemed ready to erupt at any moment.

Just the moment she heard a knock on the door. Her initial impulse was to open it, as she assumed that there must be any maid. However, a second thought struck her mind was Veeransh. She hadn't seen him since she had been locked in the room.

Gathering her composure, she answered with a mixture of firmness and nervousness.
"Come in," she said.

A relieving gasp escaped her lips as she spotted an old woman on the door. But in the next instant, her expression turned to one of confusion. Noticing her gesture, the lady offered a gentle smile and replied.

"Hum aapki hone wali Dadi Saas! Humara matlab Veeransh ki Dadi"
("I am your soon to be grandmother-in-law! I mean Veeransh's grandmother.")

For the sake of the rites served by her parents, Nia bent to touch her feet but she held her shoulders midway nodding her head. Passing her an affectionate smile she swept a hand on her cheek.

"Bahut pyaari bachi ho!" And her eyes caught moisture.
("Such a pretty girl!")

Nia was just gazing at her when he extended a large plate draped in a lovely red cloth, towards her. Earning a sly gesture of her eyes, Nia took off the cloth, her eyes grew wider in amazement as she admired the stunning maroon bridal lehenga (gown), mesmerized with intricate gold hand embroidery and delicate pearls that radiated luxury.
