As the party progressed, the ambiance progressed too. The guests were pleased with the preparations and overall aesthetic of it all. Princess Glimmer had already received all of her gifts and that provided the child with more energy for the night and the upcoming Meet-and-Greet with all the party guests, her parents, and brother prepared for the event as many trolls had already gotten the privilege of meeting the princess with a VIP Pass provided minutes before the thing actually started, only the ones who paid attention got the memo and participated in this very specific offer to the meeting.
Now, the last VIP guests were Smidge and Cooper, who stowed away from the rest during the opening ceremony, Smidge threatened the seller to hand it to her and Cooper just chewed on a ticket thinking it was one of the appetizers. Guy Diamond beamed with happiness as he just finished the last VIP encounter with his good friends, "Well it was very nice indeed to catch up with you guys."
"Yeah." Smidge did finger guns at her friend as she walked away, "The village doesn't shine as brightly without you, Guy Diamond."
"Dang that's depressing." Cooper commented as he followed his shorter friend on the way out, "I love it!"
The two trolls joined back with their friends on the dance floor. Queen Stellar gave an insanely energetic yet somewhat suspicious cackle, "Ohoho yes! Because you're not there! Love that for them!"
"You okay mama?" Tiny Diamond stared at his mother with a suspicious look on his face, he had never seen anything like it in a while and he knew that woman wasn't normal.
Guy also expressed his concern for his wife as he carefully walked across from baby Glimmer's play rug and stood in front of Stellar, "Yeah my dear, are you alright?"
"What?!" Queen Stellar chuckled, "Well of course I'm alright!"
Tiny did not have much advantage of his size anymore, he was taller than Keith at this point so he simply approached his mom, "Then why does it sound like you hidin' something?"
"Hiding something?!" Stellar laughed once again in response due to the unexpected nature of his question, "There's nothing to hide!"
Guy Diamond placed his hand on Tiny's shoulder and added some input into the conversation, "She's right Tiny, Stellar is terrible at expressing the truth of her intentions."
Queen Stellar gave her husband a loving look before she snatched baby Glimmer from the floor and hugged her, "Exactly! That's why I trust you two to stay here while I handle something completely unrelated."
"What?!" The father and son asked at the same time, now this was truly unexpected for both.
"Peace out!" The Queen kissed her daughter's forehead and gently handed her to Guy's arms, the grown woman skipped out of the Meet-and-Greet room in a rush.
Tiny watched his mother leave in shock, "Okay, now that was totally suspicious."
"I don't know what's up with her lately." Guy Diamond confessed as he played with Glimmer's little arms, "She's always been extra. She was extra-extra when she was hairnant and now she's just living in such ambiguity... Quite frankly it's pretty hard to handle at times... And I... am quite bothered by it!"
A collaboration of gasps came from behind, Guy Diamond did not intend for anyone to hear his confession to the universe. But for his luck, it was only his friends Poppy and Branch, who came to meet with Glimmer in the line. Branch was the first to speak out after the exposition, "Guy... That's a pretty big deal."
"Have you talked to anyone about this?" Poppy questioned as he invited herself more into the situation, "At all?"
"Not in the slightest." Guy responded as he now felt much more comfortable with the subject with close friends to open himself to, "This place is just different. I've gotten used to most of it, but change can be heard and I am very adaptable most of the time... Like dancing and singing is just the easier way to express my true self and of course, I love Stellar and Glimmer, and Tiny, but their ways are just... Odd."
"No one expects you to be a Disco Troll, Guy." Poppy approached her friend with a soothing tone and open arms, "They just expect you to be you!"
Branch stood by Poppy's side and complimented her observations, "You're putting too much pressure over your shoulders, you should relax for a minute man."
"I knew havin' a stepmom would be no good!" Tiny complained in the background as he played with his baby sister, "Ya'll should've seen those movies."
"Uh." Branch cleared his throat as he now addressed both Guy and Tiny, "I don't think Stellar is the problem... Sure she's been acting over the top lately, like way too much for her to handle, but she maybe she's excited because her dreams are finally coming true."
Guy Diamond's smile perked up and the glitter of his body became one with him once more, "Holy Macaroni! Branch you are a genius!" He hugged Brsanch, "Have you ever considered psychology as a possible career?"
"He has too much baggage to handle others." Poppy didn't even let him answer, she simply blurted out what she thought. Brsnch glared at her but in a much more married couple manner rather than their old bickering style, they truly learned about each other's flaws and quirks over time, so it's fine.
Guy Diamond stepped up and immediately walked to the exit "I suppose my wife's waiting for me s-" Before he could even finish that sentence, he witnessed his newborn baby child stretch both of her arms to reach for a bracelet bead above the shelf, "What. Was. That."
The group of trolls inside that room gathered around Glimmer as she pulled the bead back to her arms as they reformed to normal, the child drooled all over the peace. Guy Diamond was truly speechless after that one.
"Hold up!" Tiny Diamond was the first one to have something to say about this situation, "Is my little sister like that weird round wonky-legged chick with orange hair?"
"Legsly?" Poppy shook her head no to Tiny's question, "I don't think so... She had had legs surgically stretched, or so the rumors said."
Branch kneeled down to the baby's sight level and analyzed her anatomy, "Fascinating.. I've never seen anything like it."
Guy Diamond suddenly had flashbacks from earlier in the week, when Queen Stellar quickly sifted the subject when asked about her origins, "Yeah. Stellar's hiding something."
"What?" Poppy could be more confused by this situation. Suddenly a big announcement projected all around the place, with the voice of Woofin, "Attention King Guy Diamond do NOT attend to the Throne Hall there is NOT a loving surprise waiting for you at this exact moment."
They knew what they had to do, the trolls all joined together and marched to the main hall. All of them were aware that something was not adding up right, Guy Diamond did not have any genes that included limb stretching bit Queen Stellar's DNA was as ambiguous as she acted.
