On a sad afternoon,

After many attempts to rekindle the fire

They just knew the fateful talk

Couldn't be pushed away forever

On a street bench they sat for a minute

Watching people as they went by

Recalling the good times they had,

Smiling sadly without knowing why

Sitting for a minute along his side

Watching the sun as it leaves

Talking of the future and the past

With tears drying on her sleeves

But they did know why, deep down,

As the autumn air would slowly swell

Worn out and damp from drizzle

They were turning cold as well

"Celya what's happening to us?

I haven't seen a smile of yours lately

In a matter of a few weeks it's like

Everything has gone so lowly"

She told him:

"It's sad to think that we've slipped away

Love is a doomed gamble you know

We rolled the dice and were unlucky

But for most lovers the odds are low"

"I've tried to be all that you wanted

Say all you ever needed to hear

But whatever I've done wasn't enough

You've stayed distant and yet so near."

"Nothing makes me happier,

But nothing makes me sadder, it's true,

Yet there's no one else in this world

I'd rather be sorrowful with than you

Cesc, the summer is almost over

It doesn't feel like we can last

I'm so scared of not being with you

And that what we have has gone too fast

But Cesc, I can't make sense of anything

I hardly recognize the girl I am today

Maybe people can even be wrong

About things they were sure of, don't they?"

"Celya what are you saying?

Your words seem so obscure

Is it really what I think it is?

You don't mean this I'm sure"

"When two people love each other

But still can't make it work,

When two hearts that beat as one

Can't let the clouds cover the sun,

When the endless coast

Gets flooded by a single wave

How can we possibly find our way back

When there is nothing left to save?"
