gossip girl season two episode sixteen - youve got yale!

COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE LETTER DAY has finally arrived for the seniors at constance billard and st judes.  

it's currently april 3rd, and things have changed in the past few months. 

chuck bass has been improving back to his usual self, and so has aubrey. her and ryan have talked a few things out and are back to their happy couple ways. 

cassie and nate are still somehow going strong, and aswell as dan and serena. 

somehow cassie and ryan have talked monica davis into putting her baby up for adoption.

and finally andrew gilmore and charlotte moore have moved to manhattan. 

cassie stormed down the stairs of her fathers new house. "my goodness is that an earthquake?!" andrew yelled loud enough for cassie to hear. cassie let out a dramatic sigh and sat down on the floor.

"i'm not getting into nyu" cassie sighed. "they rejected you?! i'm gonna have to call the dean about this" andrew got his phone out. "nyu really lost out on something special cassie" charlotte comforted. 

"they haven't sent me a letter yet" she groaned. "cassie honey its 7:45 in the damn morning, get your shoes on and get to school. "you know it might be best if i stayed home today so i have-" cassie got up. "nice try cassidy but your going to school, bye have a good day" andrew shoved her out the door. 

cassie walked into school when she spotted dan and vanessa. "humphrey, vanessa, as much as i'm not fond of you dan, i'm here to ask a question." cassie interrupted. "hey cassidy" dan said. "i know both of you applied to nyu, did you guys get anything yet?" cassie asked. "yeah, i got in!" vanessa smiled. "thats amazing vanessa congrats!" cassie tapped her lightly on the shoulder before walking away. 

the blonde was furious that nyu hasn't sent her anything yet. she walked over to her best friends to ask if they got anything from their universities. 

"hey guys, ooh coffee" cassie smiled as she snatched the coffee from hazel's hands. "any word from yale?" she looked at her friends who were glued to their phones. "wheres aubrey?" cassie asked. "she has the flu" penelope snarked. "oh my god! i got an email!" blair screamed. "me too!" serena chimed in. "i didn't get an email" cassie frowned. 

"are you kidding me?! i got waitlisted!" blair cried and took cassie's coffee and threw it. "hey i was drinking that?!" cassie yelled. "you didn't just get waitlisted from yale!" she screamed in cassie's face. "i'm sorry b but you still have a chance" cassie told the girl. 

"your right i do! minions prepare a meeting with queller immediately!" blair shouted. "s" cassie said, "s" she nudged her. "yea?" serena looked up from her phone. "did you get accepted?" cassie asked. "um no waitlisted like blair" she stuttered. "its okay babe you'll get in in the spring and we will be together" dan said putting his arm around the tall blonde. 

cassie attended all of her classes waiting for the acceptance letter from nyu. 

during lunch she walked in on blair having another meltdown. "whats going on?" cassie whispered to is. "the new teacher ms carr gave her a b" kati whispered back.

"blair calm down!" cassie grabbed her hands. "how can i calm down! my life is ruined! and if my life is ruined! rachel carr's has to be ruined too!" she yelled. "great so lets scheme a bitch!" 

blair looked at the girl weirdly, "what i'm bored and nyu hasn't sent their letter yet" cassie explained her new plan to blair, and the waldorf said she can carry it through. 

later that day cassie still hadn't received an email from nyu so she was starting to get worried. 

nate had invited her to an opera that night so she decided to go to get her mind off the college drama. 

cassie walked over to the seats nate had bought for them. "hey!" cassie said hugging her boyfriend. "you look gorgeous" he told her. she smiled and said thank you.

"i wanted to tell you, i got into columbia!" nate smiled. "no way congrats!" cassie jumped on top of him with joy 

"oh your phone is ringing" nate handed her the phone. "its from nyu! an email!" cassie gasped. "i got in! i got in!" cassie jumped. 

"oh yeah guess what, i got into nyu on a scholarship! suck it bitches!" cassie yelled to the crowd. 

cassie and nate enjoyed the opera knowing that both of them got exactly what they wanted. 

cassidy returned home to find a suprise waiting for her. she looked inside her house to her see her best friend aubrey collins with a large suitcase next to her. 

"cassie" she looked up at the girl. "aubrey, hi!" cassie smiled. "i missed you at school today, oh i got into nyu!" "thats great cassie i'm so happy for you! i know you always wanted to go" aubrey bit her lip. 

"why do you have your suitcase?" cassie asked with concern. "i'm leaving" aubrey teared up and cassie looked at her. "on vacation? where are you going?" cassie followed up. "no i'm leaving, for good" she pressed her lips together. "what why?" cassie demanded to know. "are you joking?" 

"i'm so sorry cassie but i have to go" aubrey quietly said. "aubrey if you have a problem or a secret, you can tell me, i will help you and be there for you no matter what" cassie teared up. 

"cass, i'm so sorry, but its for the better trust me" aubrey cried. "how is it for the better aubrey?!" cassie screamed. 

aubrey pulled the hysterical girl in for a hug.  

"you know i left everyone a letter including you, but it didn't feel right, leaving without talking to you" she sobbed. "even ryan?" cassie asked in tears, and aubrey nodded. 

"thank you so much for everything you have done for me, for setting me up with ryan, encouraging me to apply to nyu and brown, for being there for me during my parents divorce, and most importantly being my best friend" aubrey said in between sobs. the two finally pulled away and wiped their tears. 

aubrey grabbed her suitcase and headed towards the door. "i love you so much cassidy davis gilmore, i know you are going to become a star one day" aubrey cried. 

as aubrey shut the door, cassie broke down on the floor uncontrollably sobbing.
