"i can't believe we have half the album done already" cassie said to josie while licking her ice cream. "i know, surprisingly we are doing pretty well" josie smiled.
"hey where are you staying after your mom kicked you out?" josie slowly spoke, "blair let me stay in a spare room at her place" she answered.
"oh oh my god! did i tell you about that interview i was invited too?" josie asked, "no? what interview?" cassie asked. "the matthew carter guy, he invited me to his show today" josie said. "thats amazing jo!" the blonde said. "yeah and hes also pretty cute so i should look my best" the walker smirked. "ew" cassie groaned while eyeing her ringing phone.
"hello?" she spoke into the phone while josie headed to the washroom. "cassie" serena said, her voice was very shaky and her breath was heavy and cassie could tell, "serena? whats wrong? are you okay?"
"aubrey, she randomly passed out and she wasn't breathing, and were in the hospital right now, ryan's with her, cassie, i'm scared" she broke into tears, "i called blair, vanessa, chuck, dan, her parents, your parents, there gonna be here soon"
"i'll call nate and we will be there as soon as possible" cassie said before hanging up. "j-josie, aubrey collapsed, i'm heading out" cassie yelled through the door.
she headed into her car, and kept trying to call nate, who wasn't answering. "hey, uhm, this is my dozenth voicemail, aubrey fainted and shes in the hospital, if you hear this please call me" cassie said on the verge of tears. "y'know what? damn it, i'm coming to columbia right now" she said.
the blonde ran into the campus of columbia and looked all over for nate, until she saw him through the library window. "nate!" she called out to see him sitting with a brunette, with gorgeous eyes and a sweet smile.
"hey cass, meet madelyn, we are in a lot of the same classes, madelyn meet cassidy, my girlfriend" he smiled. "hi nice to meet you, your boyfriend is so amazing and such a good friend" madelyn grinned.
nate looked over at cassie, who was on the verge of tears, and very disoriented. "cass? whats wrong?" he asked standing up. "a-aubrey's in the hospital, possible cardiac arrest" she stated. "oh my god" he said, "mads, i got to go, sorry" he said before walking off with cassie.
the two reached the hospital and saw serena arriving aswell. "hey where'd you go?" cassie asked. "i went to go talk to chuck's mother" serena said and cassie and nate looked at her in confusion. "serena, chuck's mom died" nate said, "there's this woman, elizabeth fisher, she said shes chuck's mom" serena said.
the group waited anxiously for news in the wating room.
"why'd you ignore my calls?" cassie turned to her boyfriend. "sorry, i was studying with madelyn" he looked at her. "i called you over 10 times" she said coldly. "i was really busy cassie, i didn't see them" he said. "i'm sorry, if i saw them, i would have answered in a heartbeat" he pulled her close. "its fine, i'm overreacting" cassie pressed her lips together.
ryan had come into the waiting room and asked for everyone's attention. "shes gone i'm sorry" he said and everyone's faces dropped. "what?!" cassie stood up. "how?! what happened?!" blair yelled and serena stormed up to him. "is the baby okay?" she asked, and ryan laughed. "this isn't funny ryan" serena hit him. "i'm joking, kidding, aubrey's perfectly fine and the baby is too" he pulled serena in for a hug and pressed a kiss on her forehead as everyone sighed with relief.
"do not ever joke about that again" cassie hugged him. "i know i know i won't" he hugged her back.
cassie and nate were the last ones to visit aubrey and ryan and the baby. "its so rude of you guys to have us last when we are your best friends" cassie rolled her eyes while hugging aubrey. "there's actually a reason why" aubrey looked over at ryan and nate draped his arm over cassie's shoulder. "we would like you two to be the baby's godparents" ryan grinned. "shut up, your lying" nate gasped while cassie teared up. "guys we don't know what to say" cassie sniffled.
"whats the baby's name?" cassie asked. "asher andrew gilmore" aubrey cried.
after a bit of bonding and meeting the baby, cassie and nate roamed the streets of new york. "y'know we basically made this baby" nate said and cassie turned to him and shot him a look. "not like that, remember how we set them up" he looked over at her. "of course i do" cassie laughed.
"hey listen, were okay right?" he asked. "nate chill, it wasn't that big of a deal anyway, of course were okay" cassie leaned into him.
