I don't own any of primeval, it's plot or characters unfortunately. However, Katherina and her family are mine. All credit and rights go to impossible pictures.

Last chapter... I'm actually nervous-.-

Katherina's POV:

"I'm the only person who is willing to tell you the truth about your mother... And her husband."

I froze at the second mention of my mother in one day.

"What truth? Are you going to tell me my mother had an affair, that we weren't actually a planned agreement? I won't be surprised, we've suspected." I glared at her with hate that could stun.

"No, you really were planned. The shocker is more her and her husbands identify. I'm actually surprised you haven't figured it out already, you're a very intelligent girl, get it from your mother."

"Their identity?" I spoke slowly, confused.

"What was her name?" Helen smirked.

"Pepper Harrison."

"Ahhh, see that was her maiden name but even you know she was married." Helen continued to smirk.

"Oh so what, I don't care, the man left when she died anyway."

"Oh Kat, he did but not in the way you've been led to believe... Now put the gun down sweetie, nobody but me will tell you the truth and we both know you want to know." She placed her hand on the trigger of her gun, readying to shoot Connor.

Before I could make any decision on what to do, arms wrapped around me and hands placed themselves on either side of my own.

"Don't do it... There's another way." A low, deep voice breathed into my ear.

A voice I've longed to hear for nearly three years now.

I lowered the gun slowly, shocked and not wanting to move incase it made the arms disappear. I clicked on the safety and placed the gun back in it's holster, before turning slowly to face my twin.

Being a good 4" taller than Becker, at 6'8, my eye level came up to his lower chest, my head didn't even reach his broad shoulders. In the three years we'd been apart it appeared my brother had bulked up even more. The boy was probably three times as big as me now.

My eyes trailed up from his chest, covered in a plain, white V-neck, and followed the line of his neck to his jaw. He had a strong, square jaw, covered in blonde stubble, along with high, defined cheekbones and a long, straight nose. His mouth was full and smiling, his eyes wide with long, black eyelashes framing the infamous silver. His hair, for some strange reason, was the same length as it had always been: thick, fluffy and messy, reaching his collar and flopping onto his head. He is and always had been handsome in every definition of the word, but masculine to the limits. Just like the rest of the male members of my family, no matter their age.

My mouth moved to mime his name but no sound came out as my eyes locked with his. Looking into my fathers eyes had been hard since my twin disappeared as Kiyo was the only sibling to inherit the silver eyes. And when I say silver, I don't mean light blue, I mean solid, molten silver.

Kiyo didn't even pay attention to the rest of our surroundings as his mouth split into his famous, shit-eating grin. He chuckled happily, wrapping his large arms around me and swinging me into the air. I giggled with him as he pulled me close and instead into a hug. He buried his nose in my hair and nearly snorted a clump of it, trying to take in my scent. Pulling back, he placed his hands on either side of my face, analysing the features he went from waking up to, to never seeing again, just as I had.
