Eklavya's eyes twitched on seeing Rudra's gloating face as he was being crowned Mr. Farewell. The pig's smile was so big and bright that he'd almost gotten blinded by it.
And later when he'd seen Advay's dull face, he'd intelligently surmised that the idiot had bitten more than he could chew. He guessed that instead of being blackmailed Rudra had cunningly turned the tables on him.
Whatever happened to that boy who looked traumatized when getting proposed?
Currently, Eklavya was filling up his plate with food as a buffet had been arranged by the school management. From the corner of his eyes, Eklavya saw Saanvi standing aside and looking longingly at the food stall.
As +1 students were to have lunch after their seniors, most of them were standing on the sidelines with a few behind the food stalls as helpers and a few were tidying up the auditorium.
He was quietly eating his food standing alongside Parth and Daksh when suddenly Rudra stopped by him.
Not acknowledging him Eklavya went on filling up his stomach with the scrumptious feast, making a vein tick on Rudra's forehead.
"Can't you see me?" Rudra gritted through his teeth,
"You've only become Mr. Farewell, not Mr. India. You haven't gone invisible yet. Of course! I can see you idiot!" Eklavya replied brusquely, attention still on his food while Daksh and Parth guffawed at that.
"Someone seems miffed because his plan didn't work out," Rudra mocked as he took a bite from Eklavya's plate despite having his own.
"But seriously Rudra with the way you acted when Divya proposed to you, I feared you'd faint then and there," quipped Parth in a joshing manner.
"You should've been there Eklavya. Rudra's face was a matinee show!" Daksh cribbed to his friend,
"What did you tell the girl?" Eklavya asked in his no-nonsense tone,
Rudra's features mellowed down instantly at the girl's mention. "I told her that we'd talk after the Farewell. Honestly speaking, I didn't want to ruin her whole day by giving my answer then and there," his reply seemed to have appeased Eklavya as he nodded his head.
"I never realized what a great guy you were till today," Daksh patted Rudra's back and he chortled at the compliment.
"By the way is it just me or am I seeing your girlfriend charging towards us..." Parth's statement garnered attention while Rudra grinned and said,
"I know what she's here for..." and swiveling on his feet he came face to face with Saanvi, who appeared breathless after crossing through the sea of people.
Seeing him she moaned in hunger, "I can't wait no more, I'm famished," and started eating from his plate.
"You didn't have breakfast?" Rudra asked in concern, realizing they'd quite a set of curious eyes staring at them.
Chewing and swallowing a big bite, Saanvi replied, "I did but all these preparations and running back and forth continuously sapped my energy. God knows when you guys will finish and when we'll start," saying that she took a big bite of the GulabJamun as he stood holding the plate for her.
Then looking behind Rudra's tall, lumbering figure she waved her hand enthusiastically, "Oh! Hi there Eklavya! You're looking dashing,"
Eklavya smirked back at her and replied, "Really?! But someone said I resemble an evil black crow today!"
Saanvi frowned then said, "I guess an appointment with an ophthalmologist would do that person some good,"
Eklavya broke into chortles and Saanvi's face contorted in perplexion, "Then why don't you go and suggest your friend a good one,"
