"Yuh ready princess?" My father asked peeking his head in the dressing room as Ahna fixed my makeup.

Essence was making sure I was properly dressed, no flaws on me.

And Shanequa stood in the corner with Ara-Lee in her hands.

That's right, I gave birth to my bundle of joy three months ago and she's been the center of mine and my future husband's life.

That's so weird to say now. I remember not too long ago when I was in highschool, it was angsty and just all around overbearing.

Carrying feelings for someone but feeling insecure. So insecure in myself that I failed to realize a compliment and took it as disrespect.

I turned and nodded. "Give me one minute though." I said as I opened the last letter ever in the box of letters he wrote.

Dear Skai,

It's both a letter for you and me. So I'll leave a question for my older self.
Future me, did we marry her? Did we create a life with her? Did we excel in music with one of our biggest inspirations by our side?
I want you to know that as I lay here writing this, I'm imagining a life with you. A life weh yuh deh pan di wull a mi tour dem together. A life weh we live together and practically do everything together. A life weh we have a daughter, a life weh mi marry yuh. 'Cause if not nothing or nobody else nuh mek sense.

If you are reading this, dat mean seh mi bingo fi real. That means that this fantasy I have of you at 16 years old come through. That mean seh everything perfect. I want you to know that I love you, with every beat a mi heart it's always you and in the future it will only intensify.

It's always us. Till the end.

Love, Duijai.

Tears pooled out of my eyes at the realization that everything he wanted, me being his wife, him excelling in music with me by his side, us having a daughter, everything was accomplished.

Quickly holding my head back as not to ruin my makeup, Ahna cooed as she wiped under my eyes.

"Girl mi wah bawl and anuh me." Shanequa said.

"It's time Paige. Come." My father said as I got up giving myself a once over again before moving off and going towards him my bridesmaid's behind me.

Contrary to normal weddings, ours was all black.

And I dont mind.

As me and my father took our stand at the end of the aisle, I saw him nervously fixing his suit as the crowd gasped when they saw me. Shanequa quickly handed mommy the baby-- yes we made up-- she quickly handed her the baby and fell in line behind us.

His groomsmen were, Demari, Corey and Enzo, surprisingly.

And my bridesmaids were obviously Shanequa, Ahna and Essence.
