Chapter 28

She tossed on the bed and slowly opened her eyes, the events of yesterday came back to her, it was hard to process that she has to continue living without Adda sabeeha.

She woke up and went into the bathroom. Did her morning business and came out. She dressed up in a jumpsuit and tied her hair into ponytails. She looked around the room and realized that amma was not there.
She went downstairs and saw the house empty.

"Hamma Aneel where are the people in this house" she asked surprised.

"Everyone left since morning" he answered not looking away from his phone.

"Like seriously, Allah sarki amma, I will miss her" she said.
He stood up and went to Abi's living room and she followed suit.
She sat close to hamma Aneel trying to see what he was doing on his phone but he was blocking her, she couldn't see it so she gave up and lied down, keeping her head on his lap. He kept his hand on her head, massaging it slowly when ya salim came to the living room. Her eyes fluttered open and she saw him surprised.

"You guy's didn't leave?" She asked.

"Yes, we're leaving tomorrow" he answered.

"Let me go and look for madeeha" she said. As soon as she kept quiet they all came into the living room.
Madeeha, Nasir, Zayan, Adda Amra, Ayra and Alim- Adda Amra's children.

"Aunty dee dee" alim and Ayra shouted her name.

"Babies" she called out to them hugging them.

"We're not babies" they chorused.

"We're 6 yrs old" they said at the same time.

"Ohk then what do I call you?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"Prince" Alim said "and princess" Ayra added grinning.

"Aunty dee dee missed her little angel's" she said.

"We missed you too anty deeeeee" that was ayra.
Everyone was watching them in awe.

"Ohk guy's we are going to have fun, as in so much fun" Adda Amra said making all of them to look at her curiously.

"We're going to roam around the city of kaduna, we have to show them that the barkindo's have arrived" she added.

"Yeah sure" everyone chorused.

"Nasiruuuu" ummi called.

"Ya ummi pls stop calling me nasiruuu, it's nasir" he replied.

"Ewww, nasir sounds so lame" she said squinting her eyes.

"Ya ummi you have such a long hair" Zayan said making ummi remember that she has no cap.

She tickled him and he started laughing asking her to stop.

"Little angel's" she called out to the four children. They all turned.

"Let's take pictures" she said.
She handed her phone to madeeha to snap them and she did exactly that but not without joining the picture. That's how all of them joined the picture as a one whole happy family.

"Okay guy's get ready, we're leaving" Adda Amra said.

Ummi quickly went back to the room and took a veil. She draped the veil, tugging the sides at the back of her ear. She looked breath taking. She wore heel's and came down. They took the sienna since they're many. Hamma Aneel was driving and ya salim sitting sat on the passenger's sit. Adda Amra, nasir and madeeha are at the middle while ummi and the rest of the kid's at the back.

They were shouting and ululating. They were following the song and clapping their hands as if they're coming back from the boarding school, they took pictures. They stopped in many place's and bought so many junk foods. They visited anty Asha and they had so much fun. Then anty Laila, then anty halima. Amira wished she could follow them but mama will not allow it.
They visited so many fun places, eateries and so on.
Never knew adda Amra could vibe like this.
Lastly when they were going back home they visited the hospital. They greeted Ammi and told her all about their day even reminiscing the old memories.

After everything they went back home and narrated everything that happened to their mother's- mami and mama. It was such a memorable day.
She posted all the pictures they took, before they left and to the crazy moments in the car, to the crazy moments whenever they stopped to visit a place, they bought so many things.

They were all seated in Mami's living room, gisting them about each and everything that happened. Then she remembered what happened when they stopped to buy shawarma.

"Do you all remember that lady at shawarma corner" she said amidst laughter and everyone burst out laughing.

"Mama, you didn't see her she was dressed in tight fitting clothes, with shade's, she came in showing off" ya salim said laughing too.
Ummi looked at him, she never knew he could gist like this.

"Sai fa wani showoff ta shigo tana ma mutane mama, kamar wata yar president" madeeha added hissing.
Adda Amra was looking at them trying so hard to control her laughter because she remember the lady.

"The worst part was when she was asked if she wanted chicken or beef shawarma and she said she wanted meat shawarma" ummi said laughing so hard and everyone burst into another series of laughter.

"Everyone one there laughed at her because she said it with so much confidence even the guy that asked her laughed Wlhi" hamma Aneel said.

"You all should stop criticizing her, she didn't know it that's why" mami said.

"But mami the way she was showing off one will think she knows everything and have everything in life" Adda Amra said.

"Yanzu haka ma this is her first time coming here" ummi said her hausa sounding as if she's speaking English.

"Your hausa sucks" hamma Aneel said to her.

"Atleast i know how to speak it, what about you" she replied him raising a brow.

That's how the gist went on and on until they heard the adhan for isha. The guy's went to the mosque and the women went in and prayed. Everyone came back and the gist went on again until they were all sleepy. They all went to their various rooms and slept.
