Ray's P.O.V.

Watching a woman by the pond try to catch one of the frogs resting on the bank someone grabs onto my wrist pulling me along. "Come on Fae we don't want to lose you." There are seven of them how could they lose me? Also, I'm twenty-four so...

Damn near stepping between Emily's feet as she walks next to JJ, today we aren't chasing down a serial killer. Swerving around groups of other festival goers, Penelope proposed we do a day at the Divine Decades Festival as a team bonding day. Today is the final day and we waited for a reason, the lineup is packed with absolute legends. The price for tickets today was so much that Emily, Dave, and I had to pool together to pay the remaining after we used the entire budget the bureau gives us for recreational days. It probably wouldn't have been so much but we got everyone VIP tickets.

Making it to the front of the line finally, they scan the bracelets we were all mailed handing us drawstring bags containing our extras that came in the VIP package. "Alright, now time to hit vendors before it gets too packed!" Penelope has basically scheduled this all out and threatened us all that if we were late, she'd be very mad at us. I have to hand it to her we were all at the gates by before when she said and due to that, we were some of the first people in.

The festival itself is being held in a giant park in which they've set up a stage. The paths of the park are now lined with booths selling pretty much anything and everything. There're also food trucks of every kind. Already having the festival shirt, I have a couple of artists I'm hoping to get merch from. As we're looking, I find a crochet top with chains that was handmade for a good price and I'm very thankful for the bag now. With so many of us each having our own things we're into we end up stopping to look at pretty much every booth.

I do end up finding shirts for Stevie Nicks, Cher, Reba, and Jelly Roll. I also find the coveted Lana Del Ray heart necklace with the coke spoon. I whipped out my card so fast for that. "You remember what your day job is right?" Clipping it around my neck it's not there's anything in it, I checked to make sure.

"Yes, I do but this is for teenage me, Born to Die me." To know you just had to be a teenager at that time.

Playfully rolling her eyes we get called over by Pen who has found something else we just need to see. Eventually making it to the end of line of booths with more stuff than any of us need something catches my eye. The second to last booth is selling flower crowns, crystal crowns, tarot cards, and other things like that. There's been a couple of similar booths but there's an energy coming from this booth. There's someone with magick, real magick, in that booth.

Fae isn't just my middle name it's what I am. The team doesn't know that though. Taking the chance while everyone is busy looking, I slip away heading straight there. It's very uncommon for me to run into other mythical creatures here in Virginia. There're a couple of people inside the booth but the real power I'm sensing is coming from behind it. Double checking I'm not being looked for I step over a couple of power cords peaking around the corner.

Going through some boxes are a group of women dressed in all black except for one who's dressed like me with curly blonde hair. It's the same woman who had been by the pond earlier. They're not doing anything nefarious just going through the stuff they still need to put in their booth. Watching her for a moment she suddenly looks up right at me. Both of us go wide-eyed and the woman in front of her stop and begins to turn around. When she does the sheer amount of power she exudes hits me and it clicks who she is.

Quickly becoming pint-sized I speed back towards where the team is. Finding a nearby tree I land on a low branch that's still hidden becoming full-sized again. Breathing hard of course I just had to find the the witch of all witches, the Supreme. There's a history of fae and witches not getting along but I don't really follow the creed of troupe anymore. From where I'm sat, I watch the two witches I just fled from walk past just below looking around. They are most definitely looking for me. Waiting until they're a good distance away I drop from the tree.
