IN THE MONTHS that Trixie was given to adjust to vampire life,  she would say that she had done fairly well. While she still felt bad for the animals that she had to kill, Jasper taught her how to identify the older ones, or the sick ones, and while the sick didn't taste as good as the healthy, Trixie found a weird sense of peace about the fact that she gave a dying animal a quick death rather than an agonising one. She still buried them, no matter what she killed, they were all buried within the woods.

She had learnt that her gift was that of Ventriloquy, so far she could only project her own voice to others, but Carlisle stated that with the training, she could eventually be able to make others talk for her, and maybe even do more than that.

It took her a while to be able to control who she was projecting too exactly, and while it still took a great deal of concentration she had managed to control who heard her, she was still struggling a bit on the filtering aspect of her ability though, it was okay that she now controlled who heard her, but it was how much they heard that could be the problem.

She still used sign language, why wouldn't she? It was habit by now, plus it was her safety net, if she couldn't trust herself to 'filter' properly, then she just resorted to her old method of communication.

Trixie had returned to school, her first night back home she called Dahlia, apologised for initially going M.I.A and then never talking to her while she recovered from her 'sickness.'  Emma was on the night shift, so she was pleasantly surprised to see her niece the next morning waiting on the porch for her.

Trixie's eyes had turned into the golden trade mark of the 'Vegetarian' Vampire, though when she was around Emma and in school, Alice supplied her with hazel contacts - which unfortunately be replaced every other lesson because the venom in her eyes would slowly wear the contact down.

Trixie was slowly feeling herself again, at first it felt strange, she hadn't felt this way in so long that she was unsure what 'feeling herself' felt like.  But she knew that she liked how she was feeling, hence why she stood there with a contented smile on her face in between Theo and Jasper as Alice handed Bella her birthday present.

"You're wearing it tonight, our place," Alice said, bouncing slightly on the spot awaiting Bella's response, "Please." She added, in an attempt to sway her.

Trixie looked up as she noticed Jasper shift, realising what he was doing, Trixie's smiled widened as she looked up at him.

"I can't believe you did that." Trixie scolded playfully.

"Did what?" Jasper whispered, his attention fully on the girl in front of him, his arms wrapping around her waist pulling her to him gently, a relaxed smile on my face.

"And here I thought Theo was the troublemaker."

"Hey!" Theo's voice joined the conversation as Trixie focused on him, allowing him to hear the jab, but as offended he sounded, he knew it was all said with love. Not that he dwelled on it long, his attention soon drifting to Alice, who was skipping back to them after Bella had agreed to attend the party with some reluctance.

The four turned to go, the bell to indicate the beginning of class just ringing.

"Jasper! No fair with the mood control thing." Bella whined.

With a smirk Jasper apologised and was about to wish the teen a happy birthday, but was cut off with the glare that Bella gave him.

"Never mind." He muttered as he guided Trixie down the hall, Theo and Alice were up-ahead conversing as they all walked to class.
