"I pray I wake up so that I may see you one last time without the fog in my room, head, and eyes. But even if I don't... just know I am proud of you and love you deeply Darius. Your mother would be too."

I just stood there, not being able to move.

When I finally did I turned and saw him sleeping peacefully.

And whispered "thank you" then left.

Goodbyes are hard. But can also be... freeing in a way.

In a good way.

I had gone to sleep after meeting with the maji- Odessa. The next morning I did not feel like getting up and talking to her, nor dealing with any of the problems today will bring.

But I told her to meet with me at Sun-up, and seeing as I am the teacher, I cannot be late. That wouldn't look good.

It's time to get up.

Especially if I don't want the maids in here.

"What would you have done mom?" I asked sitting up in my bed, looking out the window.

The sunrise was beautiful. Yellow and orange with the slightest hints of pink.

When my mom had died from childbirth my father broke, and didn't even rule the empire.

For months.

Even though i was young, i remember seeing the maids crying and asking in hushed tones when things will get better.

I was later taught all the things that went wrong when my father shut himself in.

His advisor at that time had to take over.

What would happen if he had died before her? Would she have broken like him?

Or would she be the queen that we had needed during that time?

Its no use asking or thinking about the past.

I got up and got ready as the sun was coming up.

About thirty minutes later I was dressed in white and light blue for the passing of my father. I walked out of the room, walking the halls of... my castle, my empire.

The thought brought tears to my eyes.

I soon heard 7 bell chimes in the distance. Soon everyone would be wearing white and light blue.

The color white was to, in a way, celebrate the passing, meant to show the deceased the light.

The light blue is representing the sky. Shows them where to go.

I wonder if a funeral will be held or a war on the majio's.

Ha, probably both.

I walked past numerous guards who bowed lower than usual and told me good morning.

Three or four of them said "good morning emperor."
