Can we go back to those days?

One of Kara Zor El's most fondest memories included Barry Allen, racing her down the sand into the brisk ocean. She was wearing a red one piece, he was in a pair of black swim trunks. Though they weren't racing at their full capacity, Barry still managed to beat her.

He splashed water at her, she squealed as the cold water hit her. She retaliated, but he dove under before the water could touch his skin.

Under the water, Barry swam over to Kara, pulling her under the waves. The two held onto one another, their eyes locked in the other's stare. Barry leaned forward as Kara's arms wrapped around his neck. His lips pressed up against hers as their eyes closed, lost in the euphoric feeling rushing through them.

This was their first and only kiss. Neither brought it up after the fact, for neither wanted to admit that things were changing between them.

There was another instance when the pair pushed the line between lover and friend. It happened after they saved the day, chasing down and defeating the Riddler. Batman did swoop in, to lend a hand.

Barry crashed on Kara and Clark's couch that night, too exhausted from the day's events. Clark didn't mind, as he had no issue with the Scarlet Speedster.

Clark turned in for the night, leaving the pair to their own devices. Kara brought Barry a change of clothes, as well as a few pillows and a blanket for the couch.

"I'm actually not tired yet," Barry confessed as he plopped himself on the couch, after Kara made it into a pseudo bed.

"Well," started Kara, as she plopped down on the couch next to him, "we could watch a movie, or play a video game." Barry pulled Kara into his embrace as she spoke. "Uh, cuddling wasn't one of the options," she said with a nervous laugh.

"What video games do you have?" Barry asked as he maneuvered Kara to where her head was against his chest. She attempted to wiggle free, but his grasp tightened. She could've easily broken out of his grasp, but she felt too comfortable. She nuzzled closer.

A comfortable silence fell between them as they dozed off in each other's embrace.

Barry glanced down at his lock screen. The image was of him and Kara at the beach. The day he kissed her. The day he regretted not telling her that he wanted to be more than friends.

Across the multiverse, Kara was glancing at her own lock screen. The image was of her and Barry, they were at Star Labs. Both were wearing lab coats.

The pair walked in tandem as they walked over to a mirror in both of their rooms. For just a moment, Kara could've sworn that instead of her reflection she instead saw Barry. On the opposite side, Barry saw Kara for a split second.

She stepped away as she heard Tony calling her name, but she stopped walking and stared back in the glass. She placed her hands on the glass and called out to Barry. She shook her head, feeling stupid for thinking she even saw him.

"Kara", Barry called out, now certain he saw her. She froze at the sound of his voice, staring back at the mirror, her eyes narrowed.

The knocking on her door pulled her from the daze, she used her x-ray vision and smiled at the sight of her friends standing on the other side. Peter was the one who knocked, M.J. was elbowing him in his side. Ned was chuckling at the sight. She wavered for a moment, stared back in the glass. There was no sign of Barry any longer.

So, she walked over to the door, opened it and stepped back as Ned and M.J. pushed Peter on the floor. The pair stepped over him and made themselves comfortable on her bed. She bent down as Peter posed, his head resting on his hand. She shook her head and stood back up, walking away, she sat down on her desk chair.

Peter stood up, dusted himself off and squeezed between M.J. and Ned.

"I told them I was coming over, so they tagged along," M.J. admitted to Kara.

"It's all good, we can still play video games or I think Tony has some old board games," Kara suggested.

"Clue?" Ned asked as he looked up from his phone.

"I'd have to check," Kara said as she stood up. She walked over to the open door. Peter got up and followed her. She eyed him curiously.

"I'll help," he suggested.

"Yeah he will," Ned teased, earning an eye roll from M.J.

Kara rolled her eyes at Ned's words as she walked out, heading down the stairs. Peter followed close behind. The pair found Pepper in the kitchen, drinking from a mug, she smiled at the sight of the teens.

"Hey, do you guys own any board games?" Kara asked as she leaned up against the island. Pepper set her mug down on the island and led the pair into the hallway. She opened the closet door.

The shelves were stocked full of board games. "Tony's competitive in every aspect," Pepper commented. She noticed how close Peter was standing next to Kara. "Just make sure you put anything back once you're done."

After picking out a few games, the pair raided the pantry for snacks, and headed back up to Kara's bedroom.

Kara and M.J. started setting up the  Avengers edition Monopoly board, while Peter and Ned sat on Kara's bed. Ned had found Kara's phone under her pillow.

Ned clicked the phone's screen on, and they were greeted by the sight of Kara and Barry. The pair exchanged a confused stare. If their faces could talk, Ned's would've said, "I think you got some competition." Peter's face said, "there's no competition, we're just friends." Ned rolled his eyes as his face said, "yeah right."

"Kara, you'll be Iron Man, since he's technically your uncle," M.J. stated, as she sorted through the pieces, "I'll be Black Widow, cause she's a badass, like me." Her words got Kara laughing.

"Wait, Peter should be Iron Man, he's his mentor," Ned chimed in as he sat down on the floor.

"I think fake uncle trumps mentor," M.J. argued, as Kara's laughing continued.

"If Pete wants to be Iron Man, I can be Captain America," Kara insisted as she picked up the Captain America figurine. She brought it closer to her face, but her eyes trained on the remainder of the figures. Her eyes caught sight of the Quick Silver figurine. She set down  Captain America and picked up the Quick Silver.

"Wow, I'm surprised they included him, and Wanda," Ned commented as he picked up the tiny Wanda Maximoff. Kara gave him a confused stare. "Pietro died in battle a few years ago," he elaborated. She nodded her head, staring at the tiny Pietro.

Her eyes glanced over at the full body mirror. Her reflection stared back as she saw Peter still on her bed. Her eyes dropped as she refocused her attention on the friends surrounding her.

Peter finally joined the trio on the floor and the game began. Ned claimed the Hulk, Peter took Captain America, M.J. proudly claimed Iron Man, and Kara stuck with Quick Silver.

"I saw her, in the mirror," Barry told Clark as he entered the house. The older of the two stared at him, confused that he just let himself in. "She was there, and she saw me too."

"You saw Kara...in your mirror?" Clark asked as the teen sat down on the couch.

"Yeah, I know it sounds unbelievable," Barry continued.

"It's not unbelievable, but it is strange," Clark confessed.
