For some reason, Tori had been forced by Caroline to go with her to the grill for a drink. She wasn't sure what it was for, but considering she had no plans she decided she was okay with it. Originally, she was supposed to hang out with Rebekah, but the blonde hadn't answered any of her phone calls, neither had Elijah - she would've called Kol but as he just rejoined society after a century, he didn't know what a phone was. Her own brothers were being weird and broody, she guessed over Elena, and she didn't want to deal with all that drama right now. And Scott was also busy, at a publishing meeting for one of his book. So, right now Caroline was the only other friend she had.

"Why did you make me dress up if we were just going to the grill?" Tori asked the preppy blonde as they walked in.

"Because... you know what they say, overdressed is better than underdressed." She watched as Caroline tried to come up with a lie. Okay, something weird was going on here.

"Who says that?" The Salvatore girl said in utter confusion. Caroline had definitely just made that saying up.

"Everybody." Caroline shrugged, as if it was obvious, before giving Alaric a weird look and dragging her forward to the bar.

"Victoria." Klaus called out to her.

Tori sighed, giving Caroline a 'really?' look. She just winced in apology. Now she had a feeling what was going on. She had been dragged here to occupy Klaus for some reason. She wanted no part in it, but she had a feeling it was life or death, as it typically was in these situations.

"Yay. Klaus is here." Tori sarcastically cheered as she rolled her eyes.

"So is Kol." Kol beamed, winking at Caroline and Tori.

"Join us for a drink?" Klaus asked.

Tori looked at Caroline, who discreetly gestured to Kol with her eyes, and she realised that she was supposed to get Klaus away from him. She groaned internally, not wanting to participate in these games, but knew she had to.

"I'd rather die of thirst. But thanks." Tori hummed, walking away, knowing the hybrid would soon be following her like he always did. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Caroline giving her a grateful look and she just rolled her eyes, hoping they'd do whatever they needed fast. She wasn't worried about Kol, it's not like they could ever hurt him or kill him considering he was ten times more powerful than they were, and he could only be killed by white oak.

She heard Klaus chuckle before asking Kol, "Isn't she stunning?"

"She certainly always looks good walking away from you." Kol replied, before he grunted in pain. She imagined Klaus had just hit him in the head, as she had often did herself sometimes due to Kol's cheeky remarks.

She was outside when she heard a car horn beep as Klaus called out to her again. "Victoria!"

Tori turned around, "Are you serious? Take a hint." She gestured to the fact she had walked away from him, about to walk away once again before she paused, "And how many times have I told you it's Tori now? Victoria makes me feel old."

"You're certainly not getting any younger." She glared at him, a look he had grown very familiar with, turning around again. He chuckled, "Don't be angry, love. We had a little spat. I'm over it already."

"Oh, well, I'm not." She hummed back, shrugging.

"How can I acquit myself?" He pleaded.

She sighed in frustration before turning back to face him. She would've gotten whiplash with all this back and forth if she was still human. "I've already told you, Klaus. You just don't listen to me. So take your stupid gifts, and drawings, and leave me alone." She actually thought the gift was more thoughtful than anything, but she was still angry, and rightfully so.
