"They're so close," She whispered, her voice cracking with fatigue.
"So close..."
As soon as the water cube completely vanished, a deafening crash echoed through the chamber, and the walls came crumbling down in a cascade of rubble. Sensing the imminent threat, Y/N had no choice but to deactivate her fire Quirk, which had been steadily disintegrating Chisaki's spikes. Instead, she swiftly conjured a ring of fire around herself, the blonde hero, and the frightened child. The flames roared to life, a blazing barrier of heat and light. But she didn't stop there—she knew it wouldn't be enough. Summoning every last ounce of strength, she created a dome-like structure within the ring of fire, its walls flickering and wavering as she struggled to maintain control.

Sweat trickled down her forehead, stinging her eyes as it mixed with soot. Her head pounded relentlessly, each throb sending sharp pain through her temples. Her eyesight was beginning to blur, the edges of her vision darkening as exhaustion set in. The strain of using her Quirks was taking its toll, and it was all she could do to stay conscious.
The wind that had been suffocating the villain slowly lost its intensity as Y/N brought that part of her Quirk to a halt. She simply couldn't manage more than two Quirks in the sorry state she was in. Though no blood spilled from her wounds, her entire body ached, muscles burning with the effort of holding everything together. The moment the wind dispersed, she heard another loud crash, her instincts screaming that the danger was far from over. Despite the ringing in her ears, she forced herself to strengthen the flames around the dome. Were there more villains closing in?

A male voice called out from beyond the flames, slightly muffled but still urgent. "Lemillion! Where are you?"
Y/N froze for a moment, her senses sharpening as she recognized the voice. With trembling hands, she tightened her grip on the child, her mind racing to stay focused. She quickly unwrapped the fireproof purple fabric from around her waist, securing it carefully around the small, trembling girl in her arms. The fabric was the only thing standing between the child and the searing heat that surrounded them.
Lemillion, sensing the urgency, decided against standing still. He gently pulled his arm from Y/N's shoulder, his movements swift but careful not to disturb her delicate balance. Cupping his hands around his mouth, he called back, "In here, Sir!"

Outside the blazing dome, several heroes had gathered, their faces a mix of concern and curiosity as they stared at the fire-wreathed barrier. The flames danced in their eyes, casting flickering shadows on the walls as they assessed the situation.
"Are you alright?" Sir Nighteye's familiar voice pierced through the crackling of the fire, laced with worry. At the sound, Y/N's heart leaped, a brief spark of hope igniting within her. She wanted to respond, to let them know she was holding on, but her body refused to move, her muscles locked in place by sheer exhaustion.
Thump
"Yes!" Lemillion shouted back, his voice strong and reassuring, a stark contrast to Y/N's weakening state. But all Y/N could see were indistinct blobs of color, her vision fading as the effects of her quirk and fatigue began to take their toll. The darkness within the dome only worsened her disorientation, reducing the figures of her allies outside to faint, ghostly shapes in varying shades of grey and black.
