The university's once-bustling corridors lay silent, the only sound the distant echo of footsteps and the soft hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. I leaned against the cold wall, my heart racing, a storm of emotions swirling within me. The evening had taken a sharp turn; the chaos of the day still lingered in my mind. I rubbed my temples, attempting to stave off the headache forming behind my eyes.

Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps interrupted my thoughts. Rubika appeared at the end of the corridor, her silhouette framed by the flickering lights. Her face was flushed, eyes wide with a blend of anger and desperation.I straightened, pushing off the wall, frustration flashing across my features.

"Why did you throw that milkshake at Min?" I snapped, my voice echoing off the walls.

Rubika halted a few feet away, her chest heaving. "You think I wanted to see those pictures of you two? It was too much, Aakarsh! No one but me should be that close to you!"

I stepped closer, my expression darkening. "What the fuck do you mean by that? Have you forgotten this was just a deal that you came up with? I never agreed to do this it was solely your idea."

"I know," she shot back, stepping forward, her voice trembling. "But I've liked you all along! Can't you see that?"

I scoffed, incredulous. "Do you think I care about your feelings? I told you from the start, this was a business arrangement that you had planned. Nothing more."

She closed the distance between us, her arms wrapping around me in a tight hug. "Please, Aakarsh. Don't do this to me."

Tears streamed down her cheeks, and I felt the irritated being so close to her, an unwelcome reminder.

"Rubika, let go," I said, annoyance creeping into my tone. I pushed her lightly, but she held firm, her grip refusing to loosen. "This isn't going to happen. We need to end this." not that I can't push her hard but she would fall if I did that
