Mayank subconsciously scolded her " shut up , you fool , how can you talk about her . She- " then he stopped midway and realised something , surely everyone was looking at him suspiciously . This proved that it was true .

Reeta was ashamed as everyone was looking at her with disgust . But she didn't do anything . She just took her lover . The man she ran away with was a fraud . But thankfully she found Mayank who became minister . Then they got back together and has a daughter .

Maira was numb . But her daughter said painfully " father is this the reason you are biased towards my sister because she is your first love's daughter . While I was - "

She didn't complete and continued with the act and run towards her mother and hugged her, crying harder .

Maira heart ached looking at her daughter as she is the most valuable person in her world .

Pari's heart raced as she summoned the courage to speak, her voice quaking slightly. "Mother, I don't want to say this, but... I don't want to live with them. They treat me poorly." With a breath of determination, she raised her voice, ensuring everyone could hear her pained truth. "Look at my room! It's so small, barely enough to breathe in! Even your room is just like mine, while theirs is a palace—luxurious and lavish! "

Maira's heart twisted painfully at her daughter's words.

But Pari knew she had one final weapon to unleash. She leaned closer to her mother, her voice dropping to a whisper, laced with fear. "Mother, I'm scared. What if... what if they beat me in the future and abandon us?"

Maira felt a rush of clarity wash over her. Those words ignited a fierce resolve within her. She would not let her daughter live in fear. Looking at Pari's trembling form, then shifting her gaze to Mayank, disgust festered in her chest.

Mayank caught Maira's eyes, and for the first time, he noticed the rejection reflected in her gaze. She had always been gentle with him, attentive and obedient. To see her eyebrows knitted with disdain filled him with a dread he couldn't shake. Something deep within him urged him to flee, but he felt rooted in place.

Then, Maira's voice cut through the tension. "Your Highness," she began, turning to the emperor with unwavering conviction. "I want a divorce from this man—this filthy coward." Her words echoed. "Let it be known to all present: this disgusting person and I will have no further relation. He no longer needs to hide his connection with Reeta and their daughter."

Gasps of shock rippled through the crowd, eyes wide with disbelief—but murmurs of support quickly followed. Reeta's expression shifted from surprise to pure joy; freedom sparkled in her eyes.

But it was Mayank's reaction that sent a tremor through the assembly. "No!" he shouted, his voice cracking with desperation. "I will not allow this! We've been husband and wife for 16 years! How can we throw that away so easily?"

Panic gripped him as he remembered Maira's kindness over the years, the unwavering support she offered him through thick and thin. She was the one who had believed in him when he was drowning in poverty.

And then there was Reeta—his first love, the one who had shattered his heart when she chose another. Yes, their reunion had been tinged with the sweetness of nostalgia, rekindling old flames. But as he stood there, fighting to maintain his crumbling world, the past felt like a distant echo in the face of present reality.

Maira stood strong, igniting the spark of her newfound freedom. This was her moment, her chance to reclaim her life for herself and her daughter. The crowd began to murmur their support, a chorus of agreement urging her onward.
