You look like the kind of girl that would study hard to get into Harvard, but her best isn't good enough. It never is.
"How did you know?"
Don't pretend I don't know you.
Don't pretend I don't look at you each time you lower your head to cry.
Don't forget the times I've been there for you.
"I never would."
It shouldn't come as a surprise that I know your favorite color and what you'd be if you were only enough for someone other than me.
"Am I not enough?"
You are to me, but you choose to ignore me because I'm never good enough for you. I'll always be flagged down because of my humane flaws. The ones I can't control. The ones you display, too.
"I never said you weren't for me."
You never said I was either.
"You just assume."
You too.
"I do?"
You assumed I'd always be readily available for you. You didn't notice I left. I thought maybe you'd call or send out a search team to rescue me.
"You're not missing. I'm right here with you."
And where is that?

When they only know you're gone when they need you. When they only know, they left too when they meet you again. Maybe they never even realized it at all.
