Touya and I spent a few minutes talking about tonight's events. We ended up pleased with the results. The media had taken pictures, and we were pretty sure tomorrow's headline would be something along the lines of, 'Pro Hero Endeavor's Eldest Son with Rusu Heiress Spotted Together'.

But even so, we were mentally exhausted. Dealing with Endeavor was no joke. I couldn't help but tell Touya that.

"He's not exactly what I pictured him to be. Was that dad of yours always judging based on appearance? I felt like a total clown for a second."

"Don't listen to him. You look hot even he knows that. He's just mad I didn't go for a prissy girl of his liking. He wanted a meek, easy to order around type of daughter-in-law. He's always been the type to control shit around him. It's annoying."

"Sounds similar to my dad but he's less intense, my dad just stops talking to you and guilt-trips you. Or in other words is a manipulative man." I shared with Touya. "It makes me wonder whatever happened to dads being there to protect their kids, their wife... their entire household."

He hummed in acknowledgement. "He wasn't always like that. But people change... money, fame, reputation brings out the worst in people."

I agreed, "Kinda makes me think back to the Hero Killer. Sure he killed heroes but in a way he was a hero breeder. Crime dropped back when it was his era. Too bad people don't see beyond the point. All they see is black or white."

Touya became speechless and I turned to him. He eyed me shocked.

"What?" I gawked.

"Nothing, just surprised you'd be the type to fan girl over Stain."

I raised my eyebrow skeptically at him, "I wouldn't call myself a fan girl."

He shrugged, "Well I think he's pretty cool. Too bad they put him into jail. It was technically my brother and his friends' doing but the public thinks it was Endeavor."

"What a small world." I eyed him shocked. "Your family is around so much—"

"Drama." He rolled his eyes tiredly, "I know. The Todoroki family is more chaotically messed up than most families. Full of appearances too. But that man... he doesn't even care about hiding who he really is anymore. It's been that way since Shoto got into UA. He thinks Shoto's going to surpass him as a hero and become number one. Though, Shoto could care less about it."

"Sounds rough." I sympathized with him, "I have a messy relationship with my dad too but it's a bit different. He'd probably smack me if I spoke to him the way I spoke to Endeavor."

"Really?" His eyed me with disbelief, "I would've thought you'd be talking back to him or something. You had no trouble talking back to mine."

"It's different when it's with other people and I prefer defending others... it's easier." I cleared my throat softly, "I used to be rebellious but when he threatened to give the company to his girlfriend's son, that changed." I somberly spoke, "I'm not polite as fuck with him but I don't curse him out anymore."

"For me it's not a choice." Touya looked out into the distance with a deep sigh. "If I don't say something, things go for the worse. You saw him back there."

I let out a sigh as well. "Our families are complicated huh."

"That's a nice way to put it."

"It's suffocating having to follow certain rules."

"It's a pain having to fill their expectations."

"Why do we do it?"

He sighed, "Reasons that just make sense in our mind, I suppose."
