Ouch my body aches. Specifically my arm. Oh right, there was a cut and then Dabi cauterized the wound. Edgeshot, Toga Himiko, Tomu, and Dabi truly helped me. I would've been tracked down forever, or worse get intoxicated by a paralyzing poison and bleed to death. I'm truly lucky to have them.
However... I wouldn't be in this fucking mess if I wouldn't have met Overhaul. Worse than that, I wouldn't have met that idiot, if I hadn't been so desperate to get a fake fiancé just to keep my dad from giving his company away to someone that wasn't me! Dad... this stupid agreement, it's all your—
No. It's my fault. I'm going through all these lengths just to fulfill my selfish goals. They're selfish, right? Maybe I should just accept the fact that my dad has other priorities. He prefers... others instead of me.
"Y/N wake up." I faintly heard.
"It's fine. She's only fainted because of the sight of blood not because of the pain." Hitoshi's voice was heard. "Thank you."
"Don't thank me, we're still not done with this. We still have to keep Y/N safe." Dabi added.
"Right. Let's go then. We're leaving in a car with Aizawa, your brother, and Tomura. Another car will follow with Bakugou and Midoriya as center, there's a group of pros waiting for us so we can take Y/N to a safe place."
I opened my eyes and found myself being carried in Dabi's arms. A look of concern covered his expression. Sensing my gaze, Dabi turned to me and blinked with surprise.
"Good you're awake." he carefully set me inside the car.
"Sorry for fainting." I rubbed my eyes.
"Don't apologize. You couldn't avoid it." he spoke as his eyes settled on the bandage on my arm.
"Fine, but don't start acting different around me. You didn't burn me. You helped me." I reassured him.
He silently nodded.
"Where are we going?" I asked as I saw Tomu, my brother and Shoto joining us in the car.
"We're leaving to Kamino. There's a safe spot we can take you to." explained Hitoshi. "Everyone's on alert. So far there's no sign of Overhaul or his people."
I sighed in relief, though that calmness in me was short lived as Tomura started to talk to Aizawa.
"This is too easy." he claimed. "Overhaul has had his eyes on Y/N for more than a year. I doubt he's going to let go of her so easily. Not to mention knowing that former League members helped. Knowing Overhaul, he wants us to think we've won."
"What are you implying?" Aizawa questioned him.
"I don't know, but if I were Overhaul... I wouldn't give up so easily. I'd set up a trap of some sort and claim my revenge directly at the person who wronged me. I'd give my enemy a sense of security before roughly taking it away."
"Sounds very villainous." I mumbled.
"You're forgetting who we used to be." Dabi scoffed.
"Used to." I faintly smirked, "Not anymore."
"Can you get to the point?" Aizawa questioned Tomura rather exasperatedly.
"I don't think leaving was our best option. Is taking Y/N to Kamino really going to keep her out of his range?"
"That may be true but we don't know how they'll attack. Right now, he has the advantage." Shoto spoke up. "He could attack anywhere, we might as well take Y/N out of here where we can protect her."
