𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐈𝐌 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐒𝐎 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐘𝐄𝐃. She should've known since his blood was making it look like he was annoyed; but how would she know that he was going to try and kill the soldier? Her hemokinesis didn't give her mind-reading powers. She wasn't going to let anyone die because of him. His only purpose was to kill the monster since she knew he'd kill it faster than her, but his purpose wasn't to kill them. She still had a cigarette on her lips as she walked closer to him, hearing the choked sounds coming from them as they tried to get him to snap out of it.

That was a futile attempt.

He stopped breathing. Je Kyung-hu watched with narrowed eyes before they landed on the ground harshly, making them gasp sharply. They coughed as air entered their lungs at a quick pace. Min Seo-yun extended her hand, her fingers slightly curling into her palm. He was making choking noises, putting his hand on his neck as if that would help. Seo-yun pushed his body away and she was as shocked as him when Lee Eun-yoo stabbed his neck with a needle full of... something. Seo-yun jogged toward him, grabbing him as he fell to the ground. She flinched when Eun-yoo stabbed him again in the chest.

Seo-yun extended her hand toward Eun-yoo, making her fall unconscious at just the same time that Cha Hyun-soo did, lying limply in Seo-yun's arms now. Eun-yoo, on the other hand, had fallen to the ground with no one grabbing her.

She woke up quicker than Seo-yun wanted. She changed her clothes. Kyung-hu was still in their head, trying to process what happened to them but before they fell into that mindset, they handed a bag to Seo-yun. It had a sleeveless denim top with a zip-up front and low-rise, black bootcut pants with metallic zippers on the pockets. It was a nice outfit so she didn't complain much about putting it on. She sat on the driver's seat of an abandoned car, playing with Hyun-soo's fingers as she felt Eun-yoo coming closer toward them with a case full of needles. She had to roll her eyes at that.

"What is that?" Kyung-hu blinked rapidly, looking toward Eun-yoo and seeing the needles in her hands.

"Anesthetic." Park Chan-young sighed.

He wasn't the happiest after Kyung-hu had sacrificed themselves for them. He yelled at them but at the same time, he was taking the glass off their skin and wiping the dirty blood out of their face. He was mad but didn't do much as he knew that Kyung-hu wasn't in their head by the lost look their eyes had.

"How long do you think this stuff will last us?"

"I haven't thought about it." Seo-yun's lips twitched.

"Lee Eun-yoo. We shouldn't have woken him up in the first place."

"Seo-yun will have woken him anyways."

"Because you woke her."

"I don't have the energy to argue."

"So just listen instead. As soon as he opened his eyes, he killed a monster and then tried to kill Kyung-hu. He's not the person who saved that woman anymore! I know that Cha Hyun-soo's still somewhere in there, but... he's also the only one who can make himself human again. There's nothing we can do to bring him back. The monster's consumed him!"

"If he had been taken over entirely, then I could accept what you're saying right now. But I know that I saw him come back. After seeing that, how could I..."

"You're being naive." Their voice was raspy, mostly by the fact that they hadn't spoken in so long. Eun-yoo turned her head toward Kyung-hu, narrowing her eyes at them. "Just the same way you thought you could wake him up but that wasn't you, that was Seo-yun. What exactly are you trying to gain by helping him? If you don't want to be lonely, find someone else. He can... end up hurting you because it's not like the two of them tolerate you that much." Kyung-hu rolled their eyes before going back to lean at the other abandoned car.
