HARRY POTTER WOKE up beside his wife, Caroline Taylor-Jones-Potter the morning of September 1st, the day their oldest children would be going to Hogwarts. Caroline wore all of the same jewelry she always had, with a wedding ring on her left finger. She rolled over when she heard Harry wake up, tapping her back stallion figurine to turn the small light on. "Morning." Caroline smiled, her black, curly hair wrapped into her silk bonnet.

Harry kissed her. "You ready?" their sons were going off to school today, and Caroline would miss them terribly.

She nodded, sitting up. "You're going there for the feast tonight?" Caroline asked. Harry had been an Auror for years, until he was asked to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts when Teddy was nine. He didn't live at the school, and apparated to and from Hogwarts every day so he could be home for dinner with his family.

"Then I'll come straight home. Is Eloise coming over?" Harry questioned, helping Caroline make their bed.

"Yeah." Caroline affirmed. Her mother was the best grandmother to walk the planet, and Caroline loved seeing her with her children. Teddy's grandparents were involved with all of the Potter kids as well, and were constantly spending time with Teddy, which Caroline knew he needed.

The pair got dressed, Caroline's coily hair bouncing over her shoulders. She was an astronomer, her dream profession. Caroline was happy, something she didn't know if she could achieve. They lived in Godric's Hollow, had moved there when Teddy was five. Every Saturday, Harry and Caroline visited the graves of their parents, and every Sunday, they went with Eloise to visit Andy and Jacob. Caroline kissed Harry, his eyes always warm.

Downstairs, their children were fighting. "James Sirius Potter, put down that vase." Caroline ordered when she stepped into the kitchen, seeing James, their oldest who was twelve and in his second year at school, about to throw a vase at his younger sister.

James put the vase back. "Grab your trunk." Harry said with a smile, one that his wife didn't see.

"Girls, come on, sit down." Caroline stepped over to the kitchen table, summoning her daughters. Lily Eloise was nine, and she was quiet, like both Lily Potter and Eloise Jones. Lily sat down at her chair as Caroline grabbed her comb and hair products.

"Dee, I'm going first." Lily said to her younger sister as Harry started cooking breakfast.

Delilah Minerva walked in from the playroom, carrying old Penny in her arms. "Be careful, sweetheart." Caroline warned her six year old gently, nervous for her childhood cat. Delilah sat down beside her sister.

"Can I have two buns, Mummy?" Lily asked her mother as Caroline parted her thick, coily hair.

Caroline nodded. "Yes, you can," James sat down at the counter, and Caroline noticed her other son was missing. "James, where's your brother?" Caroline questioned, neatly doing Lily's first bun.

James shrugged. "Upstairs, I think." he answered, petting Marie as his father almost finished breakfast.

"He's packing." Delilah said, sitting with Penny.
