K A Y A
A week had passed since Imani and Willian departed to interrogate Ivan, and despite my own belief that him being the killer was too obvious, it turned out to be true, which is why Dakari had left a few days after them to have a meeting with Don Kozlov, who at first, was very reluctant to meet with my husband but once Dakari told him he had information that would clear my name, he agreed to it.
So for the past four days, I was alone on the island because it wasn't safe for me to leave until Dakari had successfully convinced Don Kozlov.
I was currently out on the patio with my eyes on the ocean that was clapping its hand as the wind danced around it at a fast pace, the sight no longer bothered me because it reminded me of how the man I married made me feel.
Present.
No, I mean.
Infatuated.
I groaned in annoyance because this wasn't the first time my mind had strayed to him in the past four days. For some reason, I thought about him daily...
I wondered how he was doing.
I wondered if he ate.
I wondered if he was safe.
I wondered if he thought about me as much as I thought about him.
I wondered...
I wasn't sure if this sudden curiosity came because of how he comforted and listened to me that night on the beach, but it was like I had unknowingly grown an addiction to him because there was no way I was this invested in a man who probably didn't care about me, but those eyes that made me feel everything had me convinced that he did.
Those eyes, the attraction I had for him for several years and this undying 'infatuation' that never failed to confuse me because,
Wasn't infatuation supposed to be fleeting?
If I was being honest with myself, these feelings that rose with eye contact didn't feel fleeting at all, they felt permanent and I didn't like that because of how they made me feel about him.
I needed to get rid of this feeling, I needed to get it out of my system, I needed to get him out of my system, and there was only one way I knew how.

Searched.
I was currently being searched by Don Kozlov's men for any weapons that posed a threat to their boss that was hidden behind a door I was soon allowed through.
"Don Adisa." The man behind a desk greeted me the second I stepped into his office.
"Don Kozlov, thank you for having this meeting with me." I voiced as he made a gesture with his hand, silently ordering me to sit in the chair before his desk, and I did, resting the contract I had brought beside me.
"You told me you had information that would clear your wife's name." He stated, pulling a nod as I reached into my pocket, causing the two men behind him to point their guns at me.
"It's just my phone, it has the information you want." I told him, slowly bringing it into their view before pulling up the video Will had taken so that I could slide the phone to the Russian don, "This video is your step-daughter's husband confessing to the murder of your son that took place after he discovered they were having an affair."
