Chapter 35: The Unknown Vision

After the quite a nice established resting they had in a village, the group was nicely rested up and had restocked their drinks and food back up and even purchase some material to patch up any torn clothing which happened often due to the long walk and encountering Grimm.

Jaune: I can see why postal was dropped soon after the invention of Scrolls... This is just nightmarish for any normal people.

It was a fact that they learnt the hard way, along the 9 months they had during their travel, they met some nice people who greeted them with smiles while others were greeted with weapons, Bandits. If you saw one or two, there will always be a group of them hiding. Fighting at this moment with life on the line was hard enough with the situation with the CCTS Beacons being down after the Downfall Of Vale but survival isn't for the weak, its for those who were strong, the weak shall not live long enough to see the sunlight.

Jaune knew this.

The weak should not be compared to those who belong on the top.... The Strong.

Back to the current day on what the group believe to be Friday, it was currently cloudy as they stepped on a mossy stone tile pathway through the wilderness which meant there was a village or a location of important nearby.

Nora groan out loud, catching everyone but Ruby attention whose glued to map of Remnant that they had to get replaced to a more updated map thanks to the bandit items that they had in the leader bag as small red marks was along the map, Ruby and Nora had no idea what these marks was but Ren could guess what the crosses meant but Jaune understood quite well.

He had known things about games back in the day and the marking resemble to a open world survival zombie game though he didn't say anything about the marks to the group, not seeing anything worth letting them know.

Nora: Another day, another adventure!

Ruby: What's on the agenda today?

Ren: Walking.

Nora: With a side of...?

Ren: Walking.

Ruby sighs as Jaune glance around, sensing something familiar about this area as Ruby sighing caused Ren to turn to her.

Ruby: Haven is a lot farther away than I thought.

Ren: Ruby? How long did you think this journey was going to take?

Ruby: I don't know! I grew up in a small area... I've never been this far away from home!

Ren quite stare caused her to sweat and bit her lip before looking down as if holding something back before clenching her eyes.

Ruby: Maybe like, uh... two weeks?

She squeaked out softly like a whisper but Jaune heard her and turn his head and nearly choked, Ruby took offense.

Ruby: H-Hey! Maybe like three or whatever....!

Ruby looks up again after a moment and notices something ahead.

Ruby: Hey, what's that?

Nora jumps onto a slightly fallen post of a fence to get a closer look at a wall and building ahead.

Jaune: I think I remember this place?

Ruby: You been here...? There isn't really... much here beside-...

She nods towards what seem to be a entry to a town but the plants around the area was overgrowing as if nobody was attending to the condition and not a single warmth breeze could be felt here, it was all cold and dry which was uncommon nearby towns.
