After waking Mizuki traced Ghirahim's scars, being so gentle that it seemed as if she wasn't even touching him. The ghost of her touch lingered, making Ghirahim want more. She put her hands back on him, putting more pressure into his scars, massaging the scars as she admired him.
Mizuki: You're gorgeous...
Suddenly the door swung open and Mizuki's new boyfriend entered.
Mizuki's new BF: Where have you been?! I know you have clients to handle but in the middle of the night?! You- You slut! You're cheating on me! To even think I gave a monster like you a chance!
Mizuki: "You're a monster! You're a slut!", can't you be creative? You're lucky he wants me to break up with you, I planned to use you for your money. Now shoo...
Mizuki's newly broken up with boyfriend stormed out. Mizuki rolled her eyes at his bratty act.
Ghirahim: When did you become so apathetic?
Mizuki: When life kept serving me bad hand after bad hand.
Ghirahim: When will you stop hiding your feelings and your heart? I miss the sweet girl that won my heart.
Mizuki: Go find a new one because I don't want to be like that again, I don't wanna be vulnerable.
Ghirahim: I'll protect you when you are vulnerable, I'll protect you when you are strong... My lo- Mizuki, I will protect you whenever and wherever, as I should have from the beginning.
Her tired eyes bore into his, deep down she wanted nothing more than to be open with him. Mizuki tried to get up but she couldn't even leave the bed.
Ghirahim: We were rough last night, you probably shouldn't be moving.
Mizuki tried to get up again but collapsed on the floor.
Ghirahim: Mizuki, you should-
Mizuki: No! I came here for a good time, not to fall in love with you again!
Ghirahim kneeled down and kissed her, a quick, light kiss.
Mizuki: Stop it damn it! I'm not- I'm not doing this again... We're fuck buddies, that's it... That's all it's going to be.
Ghirahim: What about your comments earlier?
Mizuki: I was caught in the moment.
Ghirahim picked her up and moved her back to bed.
Mizuki: Let me go! I don't want your fake love! I don't love you anymore! I'm using you, for your money, for your body! Why can't you hate me like everyone else? I don't need you!
Mizuki threw on her clothes and stormed out, supporting herself with her magic.
A few days later
Mizuki was in the woods debating on whether or not to pick a mushroom.
Mizuki: I shouldn't... But getting high would let me forget about this for a bit. *Sigh* Maybe just some medicinal herbs to calm my nerves... Which one was it? Forget it, I'll come back later or something.
Mizuki went to Lookout Landing to ask Robbie about a Travel Medallion.
Purah: Oh, hi Mizuki. Some guy came by earlier and told me to tell you that he wants to talk. Here is the number... Wait, I need to upgrade your Purah Pad... Here.
Mizuki: Don't I need to pay?
Purah: No, the guy paid for you.
Mizuki: Oh... Um, here... For you, Josha, Robbie, Naoko, and Tariku... It's not much but I tried to get something for you all.
Purah: Thank you, I'll be sure to give these to them. Robbie is in the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab though, so it's probably best if you deliver it.
Mizuki: Oh, okay. Bye Purah.
Mizuki took her time getting back to Hateno, she stretched out in the grass and stared at the clouds for a while. She looked at the number but shoved it back in her pocket. Her next destination was the Dueling Peaks Stable. She was laying on Whistling Hill, looking down at Riverside Stable on occasion. She got up and slowly walked down the path, taking out any monsters she saw. After getting to the Dueling Peaks she felt like she was being watched. She brushed it off but kept her hand near her blade in case something happened. She sat in Bubinga Forest, just relaxing in a tree whilst listening to her music. After a few hours of laying in a tree zoned out, Mizuki got up and stretched.
Mizuki: It's getting late, I should head to the stable. I can daze out at one of the tables there at least.
When Mizuki arrived at the Dueling Peaks Stable she sat down at the table and continued her thinking. She took her water flask and sat it on the table, drinking from it as she thought. "What should I do? I can't just push everyone away... I need somebody to help me if I take things too far. I don't want to bring my friends into this, if you can even call them my friends anymore." A man sat down beside Mizuki and sparked up a conversation.
Guy: Hey there. How are you?
Mizuki wasn't interested in conversing with anyone but entertained him anyways.
Mizuki: I'm alright... What about you sir?
Guy: Doing as good as I can be. I heard that there is going to be one heck of a thunder storm today though.
Mizuki: Yeah, I'm not looking forward to that... I was hoping to continue walking.
Guy: Why, is something wrong with the stables?
Mizuki: No, I just prefer adventuring until I can't anymore. Setting up a tent or making a small shelter to stay in is troublesome for sure, but staying out in nature feels nice sometimes.
Guy: I can understand that. When the weather is nice I camp out as well. I just don't like how limited everything is, that's why I don't camp often.
Mizuki: I had a friend that taught me what to forage for so I know what's edible. I even have a book... You can get a copy in most towns if you want one.
Guy: How much did it cost?
Mizuki: Coming from someone who is broke... Not expensive. I really recommend getting it, it makes camping and adventuring much easier.
Guy: I'll definitely look into it. Y'know if it wasn't for the scars and the armor I wouldn't have thought you were the adventuring type, pretty girls like you don't do stuff like that often.
Mizuki chuckled, it had been a while since she had been complimented. Mizuki took a drink of her water and continued talking with the man.
