I swear I have never put this much thought and effort into writing a chapter as this one. There were comments saying they didn't like the Shizue-Sama thing, so I changed it. Please make sure to comment on other things you would like to add or change in this story. Thank you. Make sure to vote! It gave me motivation to write more chapters.
A week passed by quickly, and the time for the contract between me and Shizue to expire has come. From this day forward, the contract has become null, and on this same day, Shizue returned back with teleportation magic.
To my surprise, she has already evolved into a Divine Human, the complete awakening stage of a Hero. This was the last line of evolution for humans, but only a few can evolve into a Divine Human. Other people tend to stop evolving at True Hero stage rather than a Divine Human.
As expected of Shizue, she is the best among humans.
Since it's a happy occasion, let's celebrate it with a party. I can't wait to see the reaction of kids. I wonder how they will react when they hear about Shizue evolution.
Especially Chole, I was looking forward to seeing her reaction the most. It would be fun.
"Shizue, congratulations on your evolution!"
I said with a smile as soon as I saw her. She looked a little surprised seeing me suddenly appear in front of her and then nodded with a small smile on her lips.
For some reason, I can't help but feel that something has changed inside Shizue after the evolution or battle.
I can't pinpoint the difference, but there is something different about Shizue. She looked a lot more confident than before, if I have to give a reason.
What caused the change inside Shizue? I do wonder, but either way I'm happy for the change. I will gladly welcome such changes inside Shizue.
"Hmm. Thank you. I evolved into a Divine Human while fighting with Demon Lord Ruminas."
She replied calmly with a smile, but suddenly I feel a chill run down my spine for some reason. Did she find out... No, it can't be unless Diablo shows himself. How can Shizue find out about my involvement?
Wait a minute. Don't tell me. Great Sage has evolved into... No, no. How is this possible? No, it should be possible. I mean. No, I can't think anymore.
"Rimuru, what are you thinking about? You know about her, right? You know it all along that I'm going to the Holy Capital, right?"
Shizue said with a smile, but the mythical-grade sword that was shining with a colorful glow in my neck was telling me an entirely different story.
I messed up, right? No, how can it be? She is the one who told me that she was going to challenge Ruminas, and all I did was send Diablo to help her. What is my fault in all this?
I can't understand.
Ciel-San, help me!! Please.
Just as I was asking for her help, I heard a soft giggle escaping from Shizue's lips. A thin smile formed on her lips as she put way her sword.
"Hehe, I'm just teasing you. There is no need to fret."
She said, and then turned around and started to walk towards her house. Seeing her move, I hurriedly chased her and started to walk side by side with her.
The atmosphere was too sweet to talk. Just walking silently with her made me happy. I didn't feel awkward, nor does she. We just silently walked towards our house, but then suddenly she stopped and looked at me with a surprised expression.
