Minutes turned into hours, hours into days, since I woke up in some unfamiliar room. The windows were covered, so I didn't even know the surroundings of the building I was in. A woman was bringing me food, but no matter how hard I tried to make her speak to me, she didn't share a word. I was scared of what had happen, was Jack alright, was he looking for me. He assured me once that if something like that happens I shouldn't doubt that he will come and get me, but it was the third day I was locked in the room and I started losing faith.
Staring at the clock in the room, my eyes were getting heavy since it was almost midnight. But before I fully closed them, the door opened with a loud noise and the bat man walked in, furious. Quickly jumping out the bed, I walked to the most distant spot from him in the room. My eyes were widened in shock and fear from what he might do to me.
"Where is he?!" He took fast, big and angry steps towards me before grabbing me by the shoulders and shouting at my face.
I opened my mouth to speak but only a trembling breath came out.
"Answer me!" His demanding and harsh voice was scaring me with each second.
"I don't know!" Finally, I managed to shout the words out at his face.
Grabbing my jaw in his hands, he forced me to look him in the eyes.
"Why are you hiding him?" He was faking his voice in a very dark way. "You are a symbol of faith and hope."
His words were manipulating my mind but my heart was stronger.
"You're wrong." I said between my teeth, my eyes staring directly in his dark ones.
Without saying any other word he left the room, locking the door and walking away. The rest of the night I spent in the bed, wondering what was going to come next.
What I didn't imagine coming was him again, with more anger boiling from him than yesterday.
"Do you realize what you've done!" He started chasing me around the room, as I was walking next to the walls, trying to avoid his grip. "Because of you a man died!" He coldly spat, after pinning me to the wall. "Will you allow more of this to happen." The anger was sensed in his whisperings.
" I haven't done anything." Trying to defend myself with guilt forming inside of me, I answered with the same coldness that he had in his voice.
It was my fault, if I told him where Jack was none of it would've happen.
"Then I will."
And before I could even react my vision became dark... again.
Slowly opening my eyes, I looked around the place I was in. When my blurry vision focused I assumed I was at some kind of a gallery. Felling cold I looked down at myself and panic from the fact I was almost naked. Quickly I covered my chest with my hands, tight. I looked around to find some clothes but nothing... I hoped it was all just a horrible dream, but it was not. Men walked inside the room and pushed me to walk forward.
In the end, I found myself in the middle of the main hall of the gallery, in front of a large glass cage. Realizing what was about to come next, I started screaming as they began pushing me inside, fighting back was only slowing the process, nothing more. As I entered inside they locked the cage and Batman stepped towards me.
"You already know why you are here... if you want to keep him alive then you will keep your mouth closed." He turned around and started walking away.
"You can't do this!" But he was gone, I spotted police officers picking up hiding spots from the second floor.
"You're right..." I heard a familiar voice. "He can't..." Looking at the direction the voice came from, I saw Bruce Wayne. "But I can." His satisfied voice was repulsing me.
"What do you mean?" I covered myself as much as I could, feeling uncomfortable from his eyes, running all over my body. I felt grateful that I had at least underwear.
"Every billionaire wanted to have you." He was slowly walking around my cage, exploring every part of my skin with his eyes. "It was very hard to win the highest bid, but I think tonight everything will repay the cost... after all, we are in heaven, thanks to you." As he said that the lights turned on revealing a cloudy interior with angel statues, paintings and everything that reminded of heaven.
I stared in shock of everything that was surrounding me and I heard him exhale a laugh.
"All you need to do is to stand still and not speak... but knowing your past, that won't be hard for you, now would it." He was freaking me out, I hit with my free hand on the glass while the other was covering my breasts, but it was no use, the glass was thick.
Before the opening, they hid my cage beneath a large curtain, I guess I would be a surprise to the people, what I hoped was that Jack won't show up tonight.
