I wiped the end of my hair with a towel as I walked toward the balcony after taking a bath

I wiped the end of my hair with a towel as I walked toward the balcony after taking a bath. I placed my towel properly on the stand so it could dry easily. I turned around to go back inside the room when my eyes fell in the garden. I walked toward the railing and stared out at the morning view. The whole mansion was surrounded by guards. From up here, they all looked small. There were no other houses around the mansion, as if it were isolated from the outside world. Shrugging off the negative thoughts, I enjoyed the peaceful morning. It was still early, and Arth wasn't going to wake up anytime soon. A smile stretched across my lips as I thought about him. It had been two weeks since that incident, and now we were getting to know each other better, and I was starting to feel more comfortable with him. I couldn't stop blushing at the thought of the nickname I had given him. I never imagined I would experience so much happiness, but with him, everything felt right and beautiful.

I was now comfortable sleeping in his arms, though I tried not to, as he was still not fully recovered. But he said that being close to me was the only way for him to heal properly, and I couldn't even look him in the eyes after that due to shyness. During the day, I spent most of my time conversing with Ariana Aunty, and if Lina was free, I would spend time with her, while Arth busied himself in his study. When both Aunty and Lina weren't at home, I would try making new dishes with the help of the chef. I can now safely say that I know how to make an Italian-style pizza. Ina would be so proud of me if she tasted the pizza I made.

I call her almost every day. She tells me about all the things happening in our neighborhood, like how Gayatri Kaki's elder son is a drug addict and how her only daughter married an old man who already has a wife and three kids. She never lets me miss my hometown. I've called my family three times. They're always in a hurry. Most of the time, it's just Papa who answers my call. I feel sad about their behavior, but when Aunt Ariana and Uncle Daniel talk with me about their dates and how their day went, I feel happy. I can tell just by looking at them that they love each other more than anything. Uncle Daniel would always pull out a chair for Aunt Ariana at the dining table and kiss her forehead while wishing her good morning. I enjoy watching Aunt Ariana blush like a cherry at his public displays of affection. Lina and Michael are no different. When Michael tries to stay away from her, she kisses him in front of her father so that he gets angry and fights with Michael. And when they fight, she would sit back and enjoy it while chewing gum. She really is a devil, just like Arth says. As for Damian, he is rarely home because of work. But whenever he is home, he talks nicely with me about how there are many good Indian restaurants in New York and how good their food is. Honestly, I am enjoying getting to know people who never judge me based on my complexion and body figure. I feel more free to talk with them.
