Elina shared a sweet smile as she exited her room the following day with Feyre, the mortal flushed, beckoning the fae towards her. Hands brushing nervously along her skirts as Elina drew close, eye brows furrowed.

"I just wanted to apologise about yes..." Elina didn't allow the girl to finish, quickly pressing a finger to Feyre's lips, smile widening when she watched Feyre fall silent, eyes bright and confused as Elina took a step closer so that her lips brushed the mortal's ear.

"Don't apologise, darling," Elina said, her voice hardly a whisper, "But no need to speak of it, its been taken care of with him," She said, pulling back, withdrawing her finger. Feyre simply stood there for a moment, blinking at the girl.

"How?" Feyre mouthed, tilting her head but Elina only smiled, brushing her fingers through the mortals brassy curls.

"Come, lunch will be being served any moment," The pink haired fae said, gesturing for Feyre to walk ahead. The mortals steps were clumsy, unlike the usual delicate stride of the huntress. She kept glancing back at the fae, curiosity painted across her pretty face. "I'll tell you later," The fae promised finally, earning a satisfied smile as the girls entered the dining room.

Lucien and Tamlin were already seated, Lucien was scoffing down his food, but he glanced up when he saw them, smiling at Elina as she seated herself next to him, Feyre opposite the pink haired fae and beside Tamlin from where he sat at the head of the table. Quietly Elina ladled herself a spoonful of rich onion soup, raising a brow at Lucien when he placed a freshly buttered roll on her side plate, but the autumn court male simply stared, good eye narrowed slightly.

"And where were you last night?" Feyre asked Lucien, a teasing lilt to her tone that finally broke Lucien away from his stare.

"I'll have you know that while you two were dancing with thespirits, I was stuck on border patrol." Lucien said, only for Tamlin to let out a cough, "With somecompany." He grinned slyly "Rumor has it you two didn't come back until after dawn."

Feyre looked over at Elina, a horrified look crossing her face, she only grew more confused when she heard Tamlin chuckle, looking at the mortal with a predatory grin that had Elina's insides churning. She placed down her spoon and nodded at Feyre.

"You bit my neck on fire night," Feyre said, slightly breathless as she tried to catch up with a web of lies she was unaware of and Elina felt a rush of guilt. She had no idea what Rhys had done, weaving a new tale of what happened last night into Tamlin and Lucien's minds, but she was aware that they didn't remember because of what he had done. Because of what Tamlin was going to do to her. "If I can face you after that, last night is nothing," She finished, sending Elina a look of pure confusion.

"Nothing?" Tamlin echoed, his voice deadly calm.

"Nothing," Feyre replied.

"Are you sure?" Tamlin murmured. Feyre looked down at her plate, pushing around a pile of roasted tomatoes on her plate.
