With the semi final rapidly approaching Jay made sure Alexia was switched on, she started to see her less so she couldnt distract her. While she wasn't with Alexia she started to do analysis of her own on the Swedish team, it was clear there were some gaping holes in their style of play but Jay wanted to not completely change the way Spain played to infiltrate those holes. She spent hours putting a presentation together for Emma to have a glance at.
When Alexia came back for lunch from her morning cardio session she saw Jay frantically typing away at her laptop. She paused as she watched her girlfriend with a furrowed brow concentrating like her life depended on it. She didnt bother disturbing her so she took the liberty of grabbing her a macchiato as well as her own lunch and slid into the booth next to her.
"Hola amor" Alexia purred as Jay spun around to see her smiling at her "Hola bebe, how was training?" Jay replied pulling her into a soft kiss. "It was good, I missed you", Jay smiled "I missed you too". "What are you doing?" Alexia asked interested in the displays currently on Jays laptop screen. She watched on as Jay emphatically went into detail of the the ways that they could capitalise on the swedes in their next game.
"God you're such a geek!" Mapi approached laughing, "Aye I love this geek!" Alexia cried out flinging her arms around Jays neck making her laugh. "Oh really, do you need any help with your homework?" Jay asked wiggling her eyebrows as everyone started laughing including her girlfriend who was laughing but also blushing at the question Jay just asked. "Si, lots" Alexia said in a low voice and a look on her face that only Jay would recognise. Jay nodded and shot her a coy grin "im sure I can fit you in later bonita" before tugging her by her t-shirt and pulling her into a kiss.
Alexia took the laptop and looked at all the diagrams and notes Jay had written down, it was impressive to say the least. Alexia placed the most gentle kiss to Jays cheek "amor you surprise me everyday, this is really really good and we can use it" Jay nodded shyly. "You are perfect" Alexia told her cupping her chin and making her make eye contact with her. "Are you okay?" Alexia asked suddenly worried by her girlfriends abnormal quiet behaviour. "Si I am just so in love with you, you make me feel good about myself like no one ever has" Jay said suddenly embarrassed by her own vulnerability. "Amor I will spend the rest of my life reminding you how special you are, there is no one in this world like you" Alexia said stroking Jay's hair behind her ear.
The afternoons gym session was rapidly approaching and Alexia peeled herself away from Jay like she never wanted to leave her.
Jay giving her soft affectionate kisses as she pushed her towards the football field where her team were waiting making kissing noises.
Jay laughed before she went about her business for the day.
She text Eli asking her to meet her to which she agreed, they met for a late afternoon coffee and a deep daughter/mother chat. Jay felt lighter than air when she left the conversation with several plans in place for the future.
When she returned she saw the team who told her Alexia was showering and she'd be out soon.
She stayed with the team and they all were laughing and chatting, it was a great environment to be a part of and Jay felt at home here.
She'd really miss this team once they left, it had almost been the perfect summer yes there had been hiccups but these lot made it worth it in every way with the added bonus of her falling for Alexia.
When Alexia returned she clocked Jay sat with Leila and Patri clearly up to no good.
She wrapped her arms around the back of Jays neck before placing a small kiss on Jays jawline.
"Hola mami" Jay said teasing her as Alexia slapped her on the arm as her team mates giggled.
"No sex for you tonight for that comment" Alexia said bluntly before she went and sat with Irene who laughed as she saw Jay sulking.
"Eurgh" Jay huffed like a spoilt child throwing herself back down into the seat.
"You've got some making up to do" Patri said grinning.
"You better do it fast, moody and sexless Alexia is a nightmare to train with" Leila said poking Jay in the forehead.
