Arya saw margaery strutting out of garretts room while on her way to meet syrio. As if this day couldnt get any worse when sansa found out that margaery had won garretts heart, arya really wouldnt hear the end of it until her dying day.

Avalon was cersei's choice.

Aelora was Stannis choice.

Vaera was Jon's choice.

Margaery's army and wealth was Tywin's choice.

"I don't want to practice today." Arya declared.

"No?" Syrio countered.

"They killed Jory. My father is hurt. I don't care about stupid wooden swords."

"What's on your mind?" Jon questioned.

"Margaery." He answered honestly.

"Ah, so you have chosen. Sansa will be heartbroken." JOn added. Garrett shook his head.

"Sansa is a sweet girl, I like her."

"Are we talking about the same sansa?" Jon countered, Garrett nudged him.

"How is Vaera?"

"She's perfect." Jon put down his blade. "You want to talk about your uncles?"

"You want to talk about your father?"

"Do you?" Jon sassed.

"Good point." Garrett mumbled.

"You are troubled." Syrio remarked.

"Yes -" Arya agreed.

"Good! Trouble is the perfect time for training. When you are dancing in the meadow with your dolls and kittens, this is not when fighting happens." Syrio agreed.

"I don't like dolls and k -" Arya began.

"You're not here. You're with your trouble. If you're with your trouble when fighting happens..." Syrio reminded her. Arya makes a move for Syrio, who quickly counters and puts her on her back.

"I feel like I'm stuck, not just in choosing my future bride but also at my council." Garrett remarked between swings as Jon was a formidable opponent especially after training with the kings guard and garrett since his arrival. Sansa, Vaera and Avalon were watching from the sidelines but Garrett knew that Avalon didnt care for fighting she was just chatting with Vaera, probably about Jon no doubt. Sansa waved when she caught Garretts eye, he almost lost focus for a moment before ducking from jons attack, countering quickly, sending Jon's sword flying into the dirt.

" ... More trouble for you. Just so... How can you be quick as a snake, or as quiet as a shadow, when you are somewhere else? You are fearing for your father, hmm? That is right. Do you pray to the gods?" Syrio pondered. " The old and the new." Arya stood up brushing herself off. "There is only one god. And his name is death. And there is only one thing we say to death - 'Not today.'"

"More wine, your Grace?" Lancel questioned.

"Oh, what was I saying?" Robert questioned taking another long sip.

"A simpler time." Renly offered. How did he get stuck in this madness? He should be home, fucking Loras but no, he was on a hunt, he hated hunts. The only reason Robert allowed Garrett to miss it was because Garrett had stood up for him during the council meeting, agreeing that the Targaryen's should be delt with.

"It was! It was. You're too young to remember. Wasn't it, Selmy?" Robert declared.

"It was, your Grace." Barristan agreed. Barristan would have rather been with Garrett but everyone knew the prince and heir didnt need protecting. Yet Barristan was glad to be the princes sword, as he had been for Rhaegar.
