Missy's POV

I felt sick thinking about the fact that I had to face Lynn at school today after kissing her but after talking to Cassie she made me realize that I couldn't avoid Lynn forever and besides at least I only had three days of school since Thursday is Thanksgiving and Friday is Black Friday.

Maybe I could order myself something nice to take my mind off of Lynn Loud.

I put on one of the cutest outfits I owned which was a cream sweater blouse, a red and black plaid skirt, stockings and black knee high boots.

I grabbed my red handbag and headed downstairs.

"Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"  My mom said.

"Feeling better?" Dad asked with a look I couldn't read.  I sighed.   "I am and I'm looking forward to your delicious Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday mom."

"Well I am thankful that the four of us will be having dinner together," my mom said.

**********

The whole ride to school my mom kept trying to figure out what changed that made me feel much better all of a sudden.

I told her it was just a stomach bug. I knew she wasn't convinced but she didn't keep asking me questions which worked for me.

"No cheer practice today right honey?" My mom asked.

"That's right so 3pm it is," I said.

Once I walked into the school, all eyes were on me.

People were also whispering so I knew they were talking about me but I just flipped my hair and walked straight to my locker, ignoring them all.

I made eye contact with Natalie and Bridgette who were going up the stairs.

I opened my mouth to say something but Natalie rolled her eyes and pulled Bridgette with her, who mouthed I'm sorry.

I sighed.

"Hey. I heard you were here. Can we talk?"

I went stiff at the sound of her voice.

"About what?"

She gave me an incredulous look.    "Are you kidding me? The kiss!" "Say it louder why don't you?" I whispered.

"It was a mistake. You're with Natalie and I still have love for her even if she hates me so it's not right for me to be putting myself in the middle of your relationship. I shouldn't have kissed you. That's it. That's all."

"But—-" Lynn tried to speak but the bell rang, interrupting her.

"I have to go. I'm sorry."

Lynn's POV

For the rest of the day, I couldn't focus. Missy kissed me and then blew me off.

I needed to talk to Autumn and I needed to talk to her now.

During Math class, I took out my phone and discreetly sent a message to Autumn.

Lakergirl: Can we talk?

Within minutes she responded.

Autumn: Are you ok? You never text me during school
