Yoongi woke up late the day the article was published. His phone had been ringing in silence for hours, vibrating under his pillow as managers, the director, Suho, and Eunwoo called him nonstop. But Yoongi had predicted this kind of reaction. That's why, the night before, he silenced his phone and let sleep take over. He wasn't avoiding the chaos; he was finally at peace.
The pressure that had been sitting heavy on his chest for years was gone, lifted in a single day. He still carried the weight of his trauma—it wasn't something that would disappear overnight—but for the first time in a long while, he could breathe. He felt lighter, healthier. The heavy medication he used to rely on was no longer necessary. His nights were restful, his appetite had returned, and even his body responded to the newfound peace: his skin was glowing, his hair looked healthier, and for the first time in years, Yoongi felt like himself again.
That newfound confidence had been what pushed him to approach Eunwoo about the article. He knew the media storm it would cause, but he didn't care anymore. He had nothing to lose now. And in a way, that was freeing.
While the world outside buzzed with the shockwaves from the interview, inside his room, Yoongi slept peacefully. Jin and Hoseok stood by the door, smiling at the sleeping Omega who looked so much younger and more peaceful than he had in years.
"He looks so calm," Hoseok whispered, watching Yoongi's steady breathing.
Jin smiled, his eyes soft. "He hasn't slept this well in years... It's like he's finally free."
"He's always cute, but now? He's glowing," Hoseok added with a small chuckle.
Jin nodded in agreement. "Yeah. He's finally coming back to himself."
They stood there for a few more moments before quietly exiting the room, careful not to wake him.

Yoongi woke around noon, stretching lazily as the sun streamed through the curtains. He blinked groggily at his phone, which was buzzing with missed calls and unread messages. He sighed, already guessing what they were about, but didn't feel the rush to check them. He hadn't even read the article himself yet.
After a long stretch, he dragged himself out of bed, heading to the bathroom. As he washed his face and brushed his teeth, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. His face looked refreshed, his skin clear, and his eyes didn't have that tired, lifeless look that used to haunt him. It was a relief to see himself like this.
Once back in his room, Yoongi sat on the bed, taking a deep breath before opening his phone. He scrolled through the messages, skimming over the frantic texts from his manager, the director, and other people in the industry. Then, he opened the article and began to read. His eyes scanned the words, his heart beating a little faster with each sentence. Eunwoo had done an incredible job, capturing Yoongi's thoughts, emotions, and the essence of his journey.
By the time he finished, Yoongi let out a satisfied sigh. It was perfect.
The first person he called back was Eunwoo. The call connected almost immediately.
"Yoongi-ssi... did you read the article?" Eunwoo's voice was cautious but hopeful.
Yoongi smiled softly. "I did. It's great, actually. You really captured everything I wanted to say. Thank you for being my messenger."
There was a moment of silence on the other end before Eunwoo spoke, his voice filled with relief. "No, no... it's you. Everything in there is you. The things you said, the way you explained everything... I really admire how your brain works, Yoongi-ssi. That's why your lyrics are always my favorite. I'm just... really glad you liked it."
