The Yellow Flash Of Remnant (Rwby x Male Reader)

The First Step PT 2

Y/n POV

I got my Kunai in my hand and get into my stance, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As a Beowolf lunges toward me, I swiftly slash my blade upwards, stepping slightly to the right, completely cutting the creature in half. Before I can catch my breath, two more Beowolves charge at me. I sprint towards them, narrowly dodging their slashes by jumping between their claws. I land gracefully, spinning around with the momentum, then dash forward, slicing through both of them in one fluid motion, reducing them to pieces.

Now I decided spin once more, transforming my kunais into its gun form. Crouching down, I fire at the last remaining Grimm, finally dispatching it. Once the threat is gone, I switch my weapon back to its original form and sheath it.

Y/n: "Damn, I needed this today, butt that was too few for my liking."

With a sigh, I set off towards the ruins, knowing I might find a partner there.

As I make my way, cutting down any Grimm in my path, I can't help but think about how much easier this is then I thought it would be.

Y/n: "With test like this no wonder there isn't much strong students here. I gotta not get to far ahead of myself, I can't really go full power and I'm 100% we are being watched in this forest."

Just then, I hear a noise behind me. Instinctively, I spin around and jump back, grabbing the hilt of my Kunai preparing for another fight. But instead a wounded Beowolf comes out and falls on the ground.

Y/n: "Guess I found my partner."

Beowolf: "Hmmm....."

I walk up to the grim and stab it in the head making it disintegrate.

Y/n: "Just kidding, you're too weak to be a partner of mine. Judging off the noise and direction it came from, it must be students that way. I could jump from tree to tree but I don't really feel like it. Well I'll stop wasting time and get there in a flash."

I pull out my Kunai and throw it as far as I can to where I think the temple is and activate my semblance.

Once I made it there I decided to sit on top of one of the stone pillars at the temple, as I'm glancing over around at the empty surroundings. I've  been waiting for a while now, but every student who passes by already seems to have a partner.

You: "I need to find someone... even though I don't want to have a partner but that's not an option unfortunately."

3RD POV

Meanwhile, back at Beacon Cliff, Professor Ozpin is calmly observing the students on his scroll. He overlooks the Emerald Forest, keeping track of their progress. Glynda Goodwitch walks up behind him, holding her own tablet.

Glynda: "All pairs have been formed, sir, except for (Y/N) Namikaze. What they say about his speed is true. One minute he was fighting in the forest and in a blink of an eye he was at the temple. No wonder he's James favorite."

Ozpin: "The Yellow Flash... he is interesting."

Glynda: "What do you mean?"

Ozpin: "There was a look in his eye when I was speaking to everyone...that look was definitely familiar..... It isn't of much importance please continue."

Glynda looked a little concerned but kept it to herself.
